Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 88 Bangna-Trad Road Bang Na, 10260, Thailand
every year this place has very interesting fairs . they have a Christmas fair that is great to shop for ornaments and presents .they have a jewelry fair twice a year were you can get great bargains and see what tending in the world and they have a fair called BIG that brings interesting things from all over the world twice a year . open to the public on the last two days
They advertise their forthcoming events on their website “bitec.co.th”. Not a place to visit on the off chance but, if you find a theme you are interested in, they have a great layout and excellent purchasing opportunities at their exhibitions.
Bitec is just another massive exhibition centre. It really doesn’t feel any different to the dozens of others I’ve been to. It’s easy to get to. Rather than spending hours in traffic, get the BTS Skytrain to Bang Na: it’s faster, cheaper and more pleasant. When you get to Bang Na, don’t make the mistake I did of going down to ground level. At the ticket-selling level, there is a covered walkway to Bitec. It’s a five-minute walk, if that, to the convention centre. The convention centre has a 7-Eleven, which is a good thing. All convention centres should have a convenience store. If you’re not being treated to a dreadful faceless networking banquet, go to the food court on the third floor. You can’t pay in cash at the counters: you buy a pre-loaded card at the entrance. If you’re just having a main meal, dessert and drink, Bt150 should be more than enough. But don’t worry about accidentally putting too much money on the card and not being able to spend it: when you’ve finished your lunch, you can cash in your card at the entrance and get your unspent money back. The food court has an amazing array of really excellent food. It’s one of the best food courts I’ve been to anywhere. I had an exceptional red pork and green bean curry (for only Bt55), followed by a delicious coconut ice cream (for Bt30). There’s a huge range of stalls, all selling stuff that looks and smells great. It’s cheaper than the “street food” at outdoor restaurants in Silom. And the food court actually has enough seats! That never happens! You’re unlikely to be anywhere near here for any reason, but if you’re at Bitec for a crippingly-dull conference about packaging machinery or logistics or blockchain or whatever, sneak upstairs and treat yourself to a really good meal. At least then you’ll have done something fun that day.
Attend Thai Tiew Thai 52 that you can find everything for eating, shopping, and relaxing. Easy to and from by BTS at Bangna station
Well set up exhibition. Food and beverage could be better and there should be a pub where people can meet informally.
Is strictly a place for exhibitions and shows. Has very large halls well maintain. A food court on the other side of the building. Bang Na station is by the side but walking distance can be lengthy if you are at the other end of the hall
Went specifically to BITEC to attend the Asian Fitness Conference. Beautiful location. Easy taxi access along with neat little coffee shop on first floor. Many trade shows were going on simultaneously with the AFC event so you could spend a day there time permitting.
For only 3 days, the Jim Thompson Grand Sale 2019 has been happening at Bitec, (Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre), one of the most amazing and diverse special events locales in all of Thailand. The place is HUGE! The Jim Thompson Grand Sale 2019 is in EH 107 and it was a 20 minute walk from the BTS Sky Train stop (Bangna). Nice thing, it’s almost all indoor as I passed hall after all after concert hall on the way to the sale. Events this weekend included Home Electronics exhibition, Bangkok Furniture Fair (amazing selections and prices) and a concert by a Thai artist. Food shops and cafés were all along the way so at one point, I stopped to rest and a bite to eat — at Zen Box (G.floor Zone EH100-101), an interesting variety of sushi, yummy salads and drinks). The Jim Thompson Grand Sale 2019 included huge discounts on scarves (300 – 5,000 THB), women’ and children’s clothing, men’s shirts and coats including BIG sizes … 1,000 – 5,000 THB. BTW, a 1,000 baht silk man’s shirt in a large size is unheard of! Plus pillows, floor coverings, t-shirts, Christmas decorations, even innovative fancy and healthy snack foods and fresh produce. Don’t miss it! But if you do, watch for it next year in December! It’s the best time for travel to Thailand, too, as it’s “winter” — which means 2-3 weeks for 20-28° C (68-82° F) and low humidity.
This is an absolutely vast area. Only worth visiting if you have an interest in what is going on as architecturally its merit is its size. Lots of parking available, nice and cool inside.
This place is must see belive me it’s an amazing place great rooftop view of the chow prayer river and all of bangkok it houses a small floating market designer shops Inc cars, lots of places to eat, indoor markets, clothes everything you could wish for, big conference space upstairs, its just a fantastic place to see, you could spend all day there really.
