  1. The houses here are all old style wooded with really interesting details. A great many of the permanent shops sell ‘bric a brac’ (antiques – if you must). And then there are the usual food and other outside stalls.

  2. The market is in fact two streets and a square behind the railwaystation in Pranburi. Lots of second hand stuff to buy from the locals along the two streets: one opposite of the railway, the other to the left behind the square. On the square you can find local and “farang” food for prices beneath 100 baht. Beer you can buy in the local convience store at the corner of the street to the left.Between all the second hand stuff there are little stalls for snacks, like a rolled slice fried potato, dipped in spicy powder or others, up to your liking. Sweet cake, sushi etc…It is nice to get out of Hua Hin and see something different. Especially since there are not too many tourists…

  3. If you are staying in one of the hotels in Pranburi it is well worth going to this local market on a Saturday evening . Not many tourists around , not too crowded , and the usual wide variety of food stalls , but seemingly nothing in the way of restaurants .It is about a 20 minute drive from the Sheraton Pranburi Villas and Evason hotels .

  4. This is the most impressive night market that I have ever been. It is full of Thai Culture such games, traditional food. Surpringly that I could buy one proper dish only THB 25-30. It is really cheap even I also live in Thailand. I really enjoy walking at this market. Don’t miss this place when you visit Pranburi. Only open on Saturday late evening until 9.30 PM. Food is gone fast, so make sure be there early.

  5. This is a great place to spend a Saturday evening. It takes 15 minutes by taxi from the Aleenta.Don’t expect the Night Market from Hua Hin,just enjoy the Thai atmosphere, wandering in and out of traditional Thai houses that are Aladdin’s caves of treasure.Stalls sell a wide range of incredible items, ranging from exotic fish, small mammals,clothes,furniture,2nd hand goods, wooden trinkets and ofcourse a wide range of food/drink.You need to stop and listen to the locals singing karaoke on the centre stage. There are plenty of seating areas to sit, people watch and eat your very cheap/good street food, which includes deep fried ,battered potato and pizza. There is a little bar at the end of the street on the right hand side called the Hunsman-3 G&Ts for 210 bhats.Get there for 6pm ish to capture the atmosphere as dusk falls and take a camera as you will have plenty of photo opportunities. As it is a market for the locals,do not expect to see many signs written in English, but then that becomes the fun of trying to work out what it is you are buying and eating.

  6. walking along these small streets you see old thai homes transformed in nice cafes or antique shops, and outside the homes you have a huge choice of different vendors offering various foods as well as shoes, apparel, souvenirs.

  7. I have been to this market once before and it did not disappoint. Its just a great walking street with plenty of things to see- old and new, plenty of food to sample or look at the old buildings along the strip. Its not your normal night market as it is geared for the locals.

  8. So nice, calm and not over crowded. Lovely way to spend an evening in Pranburi. The people are so wonderful.

  9. I just love the night market’s in Thailand. The one in Pranburi has a lot to offer in terms of local atmosphere (not many tourist in sight), a lot (!) of different options when it comes to streetfood, a few bars, things to look at, to buy, local live music, karaoke etc. – what’s not to like! Come early (6 pm-)as it can get crowdy and hard to find a parkingspot. Lots of mosquitos so bring some mossie spray..
