  1. I had a great experience here with my family. The scenery throughout the trip was very nice! Regarding the cycling track, there were some uphill paths that required more strength to complete, and a highway path (~3km) which may be a bit challenging and dangerous for younger children and amateurs. Canoeing was also a lot of fun, we got to go into the water path in between trees(check photo!!). There were times when we can take short breaks and have some drinks. We also got the chance to go to a waterfall after canoeing. Also, our guide Nick was very nice and friendly. We had a memorable trip and I’ll definitely recommend this to you!!

  2. We did a half day tour of Phuket with a tour guide, Nick Andaman. We got a private tour. It was relaxed. Nick was very easy going, kept us entertained throughout the trip. Accomodating also, so if you want to skip and/or do anything just ask. The bikes were new and easy to use. Good way to get out and see Patong.

  3. My wife and I had a fantastic trip with Nick today, my wife started to feel unwell during the cycle and he was very understanding. Lovely scenery that you won’t see on any other tour, lovely food that your shown how to make (and make yourself) and all in all a fantastic day. An ever so slight level of fitness is required, and if your not used to cycling prepare for a slightly sore bum, but totally worth it

  4. First class outfit all around. The attention to detail was appreciated, all you have to do is smile, ride and enjoy. Chet and Elwin were our guides and they made sure the equipment was set up good and we were all well prepared. The trip was expertly laid out with well timed breaks and good food and snacks. I def recommend them and will do Spice Roads tours again.

  5. I just completed an 11-day cycling trip from Bangkok to Phuket and must say that it was an amazing experience. I greatly appreciated the natural beauty of the country (beaches, waterfalls, plantations, mountains, jungles) however the real attractions were my fellow riders and the SpiceRoads staff. There were 10 riders who hailed from Canada (me), the UK and the US. We had a great time on the bikes as well as over the spectacular Thai meals and the occasional Singa 😉 Our guides, Mr. Korn and Mr. Bird as well as our drivers made the trip particularly special for us. Everything was extremely well organized: the routes, the meals, the resorts, the breaks. We never felt unsafe, neither on the bikes or off.

  6. I did a weekender ride with SpiceRoads a couple of months ago! The trip was really great and carefully planned right down to the last detail. Absolutely loved it- the snacks, the regular breaks, the company! loved it so much that I am already looking for my next trip and I will be gifting a trip to a couple of good friends who are into cycling!

  7. Best trip with the best guide and driver. We were lucky enough to do the kanchanaburi explorer tour. This meant we had a three day / two night tour. It turned out that there was just the two of us on the tour, so it was a private trip! We had our driver (suwat) and guide (mr nine). Both were very friendly and were keen to ensure that we had the best time. We were picked up promptly from our hotel and whisked away for a ride on a famous train, a super lunch and then our first taste of cycling. Hotels were exceptional as was the food and the trip in general. I would recommend this to anyone, and I cannot wait to do another Spiceroads tour. Thank you very much Nine and Suwat 🙂

  8. Improve equipment, itinerary, accommodation, as expensive tour. Trip varied considerably from Itinerary. Bikes provided were generally of poor standard and needed constant attention by guides from day 1. Owner attended several dinners constantly after feedback and this was unacceptable as was only concerned about himself. Hotels as listed in itinerary often changed to either lower standard or far from beach locality as advised. Tour advertised as arriving at resorts for snorkelling etc but this. never happened. Do not do this tour! Spiceroads opted to have Bugoy Bikers run the tour and they cut every cost corner possible.

  9. My experience was very much alike the last review here. The roads were extremely dangerous. The guides unprepared to say the least. I had a big fall and they didn’t even have a first aid kit in the bus. Many of the hotels we stayed were not 3 or 4 stars as they said. It was extremely uncomfortable, decadent and dirty. Not to say about the food. My impression was they do whatever they could not to expend the money I payed for the trip and gain from it. I left the over 14 days trip after my accident in the 3rd day and tried to have my money back since I was injured (and incapable of cycling), didn’t want to spend the rest of the trip of my dreams stuck in a bus in bad hotels eating bad food and without visiting the wonderful places in Camboja. (The places they took us in Vietnam were nothing special as they said, after my trip I saw they didn’t take us to any of the beauty’s of this country) I asked for part of my money back and after a long resistance of spice roads they reimburse me of a little more than the bike I rent and didn’t use. I’m really glad that I left this trip and could see Camboja and its marvelous places by my own with guides that really knew how to show the places and history of their country. Although I was short in money and injured. Stay away from spiceroads. I don’t know how they have good reviews and don’t understand why they have more than one page at TripAdvisor.
