It’s one of the sights to see when you are in Phuket town. Well worth it. Not sure if you save much by buying pearls here though.
Such an excellent service and very professional service, the lady that showed us around explained to us all about the Pearls and told us that we can go to the factory which is in another place.We didn’t go to the factory as we were there to buy a couple of stuff.They have a huge range of models and prices depending on the type of pearl.Abousletly loved it!!
I went here with my daughter to buy a Pearl of her choice. The charm offensive was full on with beautiful assistants at every turn. We were shown working prototype rings of various styles and quality, with detachable pearls. We were told these pearls were less than perfect and a perfect unique pearl would be attached to our chosen by craftsmen.A choice was made, deposit paid, and plans laid to collect the ring some days later.Upon our return the charm offensive was over and we were ushered to the cashier by a burly security. We were handed a sealed packet by a silent cashier. We could have assumed that this was our finished choice, paid the remainder, and left for the airport as time was pressing. Fortunately my daughter decided to ”take a look”. To her amazement , and my horror, the box contained the same working prototype ring and detachable defective pearl!! Our reaction brought assistants and managers scurrying from all directions. After much bowing and scraping we were assured that it was all a big mistake and a ”perfect” ring was assembled in minutes- not days as we were previously told.The lingering question in my mind remains-”What would be the outcome if we had not taken time to check our purchase? Trust but verify seems to be the rule for Foreigners in Thailand where scams are rife and devious. It is with some sadness that I have to report a cloud of suspicion over this flagship outlet.
From the moment We walked through the door we felt like we were the only customers for the day. A cool drink of juice and a personal tour of their facilities and showroom made us feel right at home.They have a magnificent and extensive aray of sea and fresh water pearl jewelry to choose from.My wife is very happy with the string of fresh water pearls that she purchased and we all know what they say, Happy wife Happy life.
PhuketPearl .This’s shop it so good. They have a good service from staff and many product from Pearl for selected.I think It’s amazing they has a pearl farm to travel.Sure next time if I come back to Thailand I will go here again.
Great staff, they picked us on time and waited until we were ready to leave. Enjoyed the tour and great information about pearls, the different types and how to authenticate pearls.
For me, Thailand is associate with sun, picturesque nature, emerald water and sea world, sea food, fantastic hotels (better value than in Europe and the U.S.), very nice people and excellent service! And shopping, of course )) You have all attributes to relax and enjoy your stay with friends and beloved ones. Visited Bangkok + Phuket for the forth time and not regretted a minute. Choose right hotels, tour the islands, enjoy local food, treat yourself with massages and you will be charged for the year ahead.
Everything went well till it was time to pay. On their website they offer 10% discount for tourists but when I asked for discount they said no discount then they said 5% and I kept asking then they went to 7% and then I showed them their offer of 10% on the website and they said it wasn’t their shop and I said I booked the appointment and taxi transfers on the same form on the website and then they agreed to honour the 10%. I felt not very genuine person at the cashier.Peter
Together with my son and his wife, we visited Amorn Pearl Farm in Phuket on October 6, 2024. My special interest as a marine biologist (aquaculture) and university teacher was to see first hand the complicated process of cultivating the pearl oysters and producing the marvellous pearls.Diego, our Amorn tour guide gave as the best introduction not only in what we expected but even more – into the various other activities of the company which are directed to environmental protection of various other marine inhabitants, like lobsters, crabs and selected fish species like groupers and the black kingfish.Our friendly guide Diego explained every step of pearl farming, beginning with the collection of the pearl oysters spat (larvae) on “artificial corals”, their separation, transfer and feeding (first with cultured phytoplancton, later in the open waters), the implantation of the nucleus for pearl formation, their growth, cleaning, harvesting, quality control and processing of the pearls in Amorn’s jewellery workshops. It was quite a great experience and we left the farm full of new knowledge about the skilled employees of the farm and their product, the wonderful jewels of the sea. Our thank goes to Amorn Phuket Pearl for organising tours through their farm and exhibition halls – and to our experienced tour guide Diego who was able to explain even complicated matters patiently in a very understandable way!Thank to you all!
We had a wonderful day at the pearl farm. We got a thorough tour with the well-mannered guide Diego, who spoke good English and was good at tuning in to what we wanted to hear about. The story of how the pearls were made is fascinating. From there he followed us to the jewelry workshop and shop, where we were treated so well. A really good experience.Frank & Helene, Denmark
