My wife and I are recently relocated and living in Chiang Mai. It’s beautiful city and, one of the delightful things to do here is getting massages. We have been going to Aiyaret Massage (Jun is the owner) for the last 3 years. It is located about 300 yards from the Shangri-La hotel down a quaint side street; about a 20 minute walk from southeast corner of the old town moat. Jun is a seasoned masseuse and knows how to adjust a massage to match each person’s needs. The words that describe my experience there are: friendly, great customer service, clean, charming, respectable and excellent value for the money spent. The best massage place I had so far in Thailand. June is the best! I call her my magic lady haha. She really listens to you and understands where she has to put pressure to solve your should/back/neck problems.I have been there 2 times in 1 week. She always says: now you want to kill me but tomorrow you will love me. It is true. If you have serious problem areas you have to go through some pain but you will feel so much better afterwards.Thank you June! I will come back when I visit Chiang Mai again 🙂
What a wonderful experience. I’m someone who has suffered with back problems and with having an active job I find I get really tight muscles. With some convincing from my wife we decided to experience Thai massage for the first time. I had an hour long shoulder and back massage which cost about B250.00 We were met by a friendly lady who spoke good English. We were guided to a low lit room and asked to put on a linen top and bottoms. There was relaxing music playing. I was asked if I had any problem areas before starting to which I pointed out a few areas of tension. Just for the record this was my first ever massage let alone Thai massage. The lady massaging me quickly discovered I was like a stone as the muscles in my back were so tight. Naturally to get them to ease I needed to experience some pressure to loosen up. Before the end of the massage I was warned that I would feel muscle soreness and slight bruising on the skin and that this was expected to clear and ease off in a day or so which it did. No pain no gain right. After the massage we were given a tea and was advised I needed to come back if I could in a few days to work on my back some more after the muscles have relaxed. I booked another visit with the same lady and the massage the second time felt so much different. I could really feel like the muscles in my back were much less tight and felt immediate relief. No pain and no soreness thereafter. She’s very good at what she does and I would not hesitate to go back on a return to Thailand. I even have problems with golfers elbows and she’s even eased the pain from this area. Be advised, if you want to book an appointment do so a few days in advance as this place is popular with lots of repeat custom. Don’t expect to turn up and get an appointment straight away.
This place is above and beyond anything you could imagine. Being in a dark, quiet, space, unclothed, and with a stranger is an intimate experience, and these young women are so strong, compassionate and generous in nature, that it is really a gift to receive their service. It’s hard to imagine how they serve each customer hour after hour with the warmth and strength they showed to us. Any visitor to Chiang Mai notices that almost every third establishment is for massage. This place was recommended to us, near our hotel, and even if it hadn’t been, well worth the trip. It got excellent reviews online so we tried it. My husband shattered his shoulder four months ago, and after the first massage here felt all his physiotherapy come together and feels his range of motion is back to 99%. It was quite miraculous. Upon arrival for his first scheduled visit , I had not been scheduled but the owner/manager insisted on giving me an unscheduled half hour. She didn’t want to charge me since I was in distress and she only had a half an hour, ( it was her break) but I insisted on paying her. My husband and I went back two more times although we wish we could’ve stayed for 10 more times. We had a duo of sisters behind cozy curtains in a dark mattress area with beautiful bamboo flute music. I have a lifetime of chronic intestinal problems, which seem to have been dramatically reversed after one Thai oil massage. This is a combination of oil and a strong pressure massage on the back and neck, followed by pushing and pulling on the limbs. These young women are so strong , skilled, pleasant and compassionate that one feels terrible paying only the eight dollars required instead of about $80 we would pay at home , so we tipped them both.

Tan is our ‘go to’ masseuse at this spa. She is the best of the best! So knowledgeable, kind, and gentle. The spa is very clean, and located near the Astra Condos. We visit every year, and we would never think of going anywhere else. Thank you for a month of bliss! 💕
Came here on two consecutive days for 90 mins Thai + oil massage and 90 mins oil massage. Both amazing Best massages I’ve had compared to places in Bangkok and Phuket during this trip.Recommended.
This was my first ever thai massage. It was a wonderful experience. The massage was done with a touching love, care and attention. My mother-in-law and wife also had massages and looked relaxed and ecstatic after the massage. My mother-in-law has fairly regular massages and she was highly impressed. All of us were convinced that we had the best masseuse. The front of house guy was also lovely and can speak English confidently. We booked another massage for the next day before we left. This is a good memory that I will treasure for the rest of my life!
