  1. The locals have a saying…if you haven’t been to Wat Phra Doi Suthep, then you haven’t been to Chiang Mai. Although, there are MANY visitors to this temple, there are still many areas you can go for a little bit of solitude. There are also excellent views of the city if it isn’t to hazy and as a bonus the temperatures are a little cooler. There are many vendors and many ‘red taxis’ to take up and down the mountain for 30 baht (about $1 USD)

  2. This temple is one of the main attraction in Chiang Mai. It is a must see 😄. It was my list of places to get to whatever else I can delay. It cost about 900 Baht to get there on you own, just ask your hotel to book you a cab to take you there and back. Do not pay the driver until you gat back to the hotel.Do take note of his car registration place and any features to help you remember your rise with many Toyota vehicles that all looked the same.😮Do agree time when you want picking back up.The 306 steps to the temples are exhausting but worth the trek. I missed the walks surrounding the temple with a view points. I wished we had more time at this temple. We didn’t think that we needed more than 2 hours, oops.

  3. The place itself looks beautiful, but it’s way too touristic. There’s too much people and you can not fully enjoy this place. If you’re in Chiang Mai, you should go there but don’t except to be blown away by the temple.
