Evening views of the illuminated ancient and modern treasures and temples of Bangkok, built along the banks of the Chao Phraya River, made for a truly lovely and memorable experience. We we seated on the upper deck which I would highly recommend to capture the welcome, cool breezes and wonderful views. The entertainment as we boarded the ship and the live band during the cruise were both lively and entertaining. The passing, illuminated dinner cruise ships were a pretty sight, as we enjoyed the dinner buffet, which offered a variety of food. Service was friendly.
I am a wheel chair user and worried about getting in the cruise ship. However, the three staffs lifted me up to the upper deck, so we could enjoy the cruise. The food is so-so music is good. Night view such as Wat Arun is very impressive. In this review, I would like to say that wheel chair user can enjoy the Chaophraya Cruise. (Of course we had better tell them about wheel chair when booking through the online)
My dinner includes a wide selection of dishes ranging from Thai-styled to international foods, appetizers to main dishes to deserts served in a buffet fashion.Then we had fun with saxophonists and singers.Best night ever in Bangkok.highly recommended! thank you.
Positively awful experience. The entertainers did the best they could. Not their fault that the food was awful, the drinks ridiculously overpriced, and we were left queuing in the rain being shouted at by the staff. Actually I’m more annoyed with myself for not doing my research. Much better folks to go to one of the fantastic restaurants nearby and then hire a water taxi for 39 minutes for the photos. Do not, repeat DO NOT, get caught out like us.
Entering the boat is a chaos. Food was a bit cold and not very tasty. Some of the food also run out. Below deck music is loud, upper deck seemed to be better. The cruise is definitely not a luxury cruise and not worth the money.
An appalling experience. Poor buffet with little choice, expensive cheap tasting wine, tired surroundings. A feeding frenzy when buffet opened-not even average quality offerings. We were placed in front of a speaker – the entertainment was low grade karaoke style at full blast for the whole journey-headache material at best. Throw in diesel fumes and you’ll get the picture.. avoid at all costs ..
Cruise was ok, however getting to the cruise pier took us almost 1.30min about (from 3.5miles away) as it was at the time of traffic jam. Once we got there we had to wait almost 90min to exchange the voucher to ticket as it was not organized with so many people crowded and long line After waiting on the hot weather and been stuck in traffic it was not worth time and money for the dinner cruise.
A must for a fun trip that you don’t take too seriously and a thoroughly enjoyable night cruise. We were a little late but as we had young children we were fast tracked at the front which was very kind. Staff were really friendly with the children and they even got a bowl of chips before food was served 👍. The entertainment was really enjoyable and got the crowd going with a great atmosphere. The food was very tasty albeit a little lukewarm. We would have liked to have more organisation in food serving as it became a bit of a free for all. However this was a really enjoyable and memorable experience which all three generations loved.
Total waste of money. Food, small range of average food. Sucked in by fancy marketing that’s nothing like the real thing.
If your idea of fun is to stuff yourself with tasteless food while listening to pop song being butchered, and trying to watch the view via a dirty window – go for it. I must confess that many people around me seems to be enjoying themselves. Personally I hope that there are better ways to enjoy Bangkok skyline at night.
