We just experienced a fantastic 3 days trekking trip with Thammanoon. We started with a bike ride through rice paddies and planted rice with the local villagers…very fun. Then a quick and delicious lunch and started our 6 mile hike. Swimming in a waterfall along the way. Ended up in a rustic and beautiful home stay with a Karen Family. We helped with cooking over open fire. Amazing views of the mountains. The next day early wake up by the roosters in the village. After a good breakfast with eggs and fresh fruit we did a medium difficult hike of 8 miles. With a delicious jungle lunch. And we ended up with a lovely family. Played soccer and cards. And helped cooking. The last day another great hike mostly along rushing water. At the end a float on bamboo raft. All in all a great experience of the beaten path. Thummanoon is great guide. Shared knowledge of nature, friendly with the locals and is caring.
We (a family of 4 with 2 teenagers) booked this trip and had an amazing experience. We were picked up with two other families from our hotel and had a great hike through the hills south of Chiang Mai. We walked through dense forest, step climbs and across beautiful rice fields. We stopped at a waterfall for a refreshing swim. At night we stayed in a home stay with the local tribe Karen. Very simple but nice. Thammanoon our excellent guide prepared a dinner together with the children. Delicious! We had great fun! Thammanoon is an excellent guide, he told us so much about Thai culture, the flora and fauna we saw along the way and has a great sense of humor. He was great with the kids. The second day was great as well with a nice hike down the mountain, great views, another nice waterfall. And then to top it off a great ride on a bamboo raft. Exhausting two days but we did see the true rural Thailand. Thanks Thammanoon!
We have 2 full days tour with this wonderful Inchai Trekking Tours which was well planned by Goerge. He is very kind n patience and experience tour guide. We have learnt from him how to take beautiful pictures. He bought us to 2 breathtaking places high on the mountain with very nice scenic view with nice coffee. We have also tasted one of the local authentic yellow noodles where tis restaurant uses all make from coconut.Thank you and we have enjoy tis memorable trip.??Florence
Walk up waterfall, 15 k bike ride, swam and kayaking in reservoir.Absolutely fabulous day, highly recommended, guide is brilliant!
We have just come back from a great day out on bikes and kayaks in the National Park. The highlight was Thummanoon, our guide for the day, who kept just the right pace, was always enthusiastic and was a wealth of information, served up with singing old songs.Everything worked like clockwork, and we were soon scampering up a waterfall in our bare feet. Then onto the bikes (well maintained mountain bikes) for a 20k ride to the lake. Mostly downhill, with a short climb at beginning and end ( but us 60 year olds were not struggling!). We had a lovely chat to an 82 year old lady making fermented soya crackers to an old Lanna recipe, and Thummanoon pointed out all of the various fruit trees and other cultivation along the way. At the lake we took a water taxi across the lake to a floating restaurant for a lovely lunch, then an hour of kayaking around and swimming. Finally back across the lake and minibus back. All worked like clockwork, and could not fault any of it. We hope to use Thummanoon for a trek next time we come back.
Thummanoon was the best! If you’re looking for someone experienced, knowledgeable, and ready to have a good time, he’s your guide. We had such a blast on our Honeymoon with him on a bike tour and waterfall excursion that we’ll never forget. He made sure we got to see everything we wanted and asked about, and made an on the fly stop at a rice farm to help the locals! He was so good of taking photos for us, that it allowed us just to be able and enjoy it. He also took us to a local wooden toy maker that was an experience to remember. We got to talk with the family, see their craftsmanship, and even paint one of our own pieces with them. You wont regret doing any trip with Thummanoon, highly recommend it, or you’ll regret it. Thanks, from your friends in Texas, Haley and Arthur Mironchuk.
The experience was very enriching. We were able to get to know the unique nature of Chiang Mai. The state of the bicycles were very positive and helped us to enjoy the experience in a safe and pleasant way. We were finally able to enjoy a very healthy and delicious lunch and meet the family of our good friend Inchai.
We had a fabulous experience on a three-day bike/hike/raft with Tummanoon “Josh or George of the Jungle” from Inchai Trekking. At times very low key, at times very dramatic, he enthusiastically shared his knowledge of plants, birds, local communities and families. He is obviously loved and respected in the places he visits and helped us authentically connect with villagers and families. Well paced trip with many opportunities to ask questions about everything from local agricultural practices to ethnobotany. Great way to see a piece of rural Thailand up close. Also — very important — he’s an incredible cook!
Yesterday we had a great day being looked after by Tummanoon- ‘Josh’ and his colleagues. We climbed a waterfall, had an interesting cycle ride through small villages and past rice paddy fields to the Sri Lanna National Park where we boarded a boat for a delicious meal in a delightful floating restaurant before kayaking. Josh was interesting, informative and cheeky. The bikes were of excellent quality and the company was great. We were really well looked after and I would recommend Josh very highly, his professionalism and love of his country shines through.
We spent a beautiful day among the rice fields of Chiang Mai, discovering the secrets of rice, rural life and local fruit
