  1. The booking is convenient with good introduction. The boss and tutors were professional and we enjoy the riding very much. You can ride without any previous experience as the tutors can teach you well. The horses are beautiful.

  2. My wife wanted to ride (I was too heavy 90kilo is the max body weight for these smaller horses) We booked the 1 hr session 15 minutes of tuition with an English speaker (my wife is Chinese but good English) then 40 minutes trek. My daughter has horses and works in stables so I can tell that this one is well run and the horses cared for. We watched some kids get tuition yesterday and the trainers were very patient and caring. So 100% recommended.

  3. My ride at the Pong Horse Park was the highlight of my stay at Chiang Mai! I rode a bay x quater horse called Playboy, he was very responsive, forward going and a joy to ride! We started by riding for about 15 mins at the centre in order for to get used to the horse, and I suppose so that they can assess the guests, and make sure they can handle the ride out, as it would not suit beginners. Then we left the stables and went for an extremely well organised ride, where the horses behaved impecably and I enjoyed myself enormously! Beginners can also take lessons at the centre, so I would recommend this place to everyone, regardless of level, as I am sure they will take great care of you, as they did me!

  4. Riding at Pong Horse Park was one of my most memorable trips. We, four girls from Bangkok, enjoyed our 3-hour trail ride very much. Khru Panom, the trainer, and his team were very nice. After getting 15-min warm up, we got to know our horses: Nobel (paint), Gundum (white), Menthol (white), and Playboy (Bay). We began to trust each other. The horses were so lovely, reliable yet full of spirit. We had a lot of fun cantering. However, since the horses knew the area so well, some of them were clever enough to sneak out from where we stopped for coffee to explore the new neighborhood by themselves. What a good try! Luckily, Khru Panom who guided us all the way could bring them back. That’s another unforgettable shot besides amazing scenic views we had during the trail ride. We are looking forward to coming back for riding in other seasons for new sceneries. Pong Horse Park is definitely the destination for a wonderful experience when you visit Chiang Mai. Highly recommended!

  5. Myself and my daughter had a wonderful 2 hour trail ride with Pong horse park. I have had a few riding lessons on the past but my daughter is very much a beginner and the staff were amazing with her. We had a short session in the arena first where they taught her the basics of how to control a horse when walking, and then we went out. She was a little nervous so they put a lead rein on her horse which made her feel more secure and enjoy the experience more. They took countless pictures for us which they sent across afterwards as fantastic memories of our trip. Would highly recommend this horse park if in the area.

  6. We had great experience in pong horse park. 1st ride for my 8yrs old girl and she like it so much.the horses are good and obidient. I am taking 1 hour trail ride ..good trail and nice view…10/10…perfect!!!!

  7. Brilliant day out with great horses and staff that will help you.Horses are very well looked after .Lovely quiet tracks with little streams you go through with your horse great fun for all . Would definitely recommend 100%Wear long trousers recommended.Treats for horses on sale for 20 Thai Baht xxx

  8. Came here for horse riding session, they have trial riding for 1,200 baht and if you sign up, it’s 2,800 baht for 4 session of 45 min (promo price), helmet and boots rental cost extra. This place is quite popular, so booking in advance is advisable. Lots of kids came with their parents to sign up for the course, the place is beautiful and they have a cafe opened up now, on top of the riding area, cool during end of the year, their coffee is nice but gets cold pretty fast. They even bring the rider out of the compound around the surrounding villages or forest, so every session is different.TIPS: If you plan for signing up multiple session, go DECATHLON chiang mai and buy your own helmet and boots. Stick to the same trainer if possible, so the progress can be tracked by him. That way, you will be allowed to ride at a trot instead of a walk.

  9. Lovely stables. It was well designed and very well maintained which was a pleasant surprise to me. It’s probably also the first stables I’ve been to that didn’t have a pungent smell to it, which proves how clean and well kept it was.I booked a hack for myself and friends who haven’t ridden before, and also hired a photographer to shoot our first riding experience together. The horses they assigned us were very safe, mine was a mischievous little pinto who was lazy in the arena but was eager for a canter when i hacked out to the trail with a guide. The photographer was also pleasant to work with and directed the shoot well, and we were extremely pleased to see the final photos which were stunning. He transfers the photos to you via phone immediately after the shoot and follows up with sending you a link to download edited shots later on.I feel like Ping horse park could just charge for a full photo shoot package for people which just want to sit on a horse for photos though, because my friends ended up spending the whole hour just taking photos and never actually hacked out despite paying for the hack. They also have a coffee shop above the office that overlooked the riding arena, the coffee was superb and fairly priced, and it was a lovely place to chill and chat after rides.

  10. We rode 3 times in a week at Pong’s because we loved it so much. They looked after our two children 7&4 giving them a lesson and then showing them how to car for the ponies they rode whilst we went off trekking. The horses are well trained to the aids, responsive and very well looked after. If you can ride they will take you on a fun trek in the stunning countryside – each time we went on different routes. Super great experience.
