  1. Chee Chan got a 4 star in my last year review. Having played badly in my last round, I decided to arrange another round this year here to see if it could potentially be 5 stars.Gosh, 1 year had passed – the scenery and mountains views circling around this course is fantastic and second to none. Forget about Khao Keaw which I previously mentioned also had this kinda scenery (I supposed I was drunk and coupled with a bad score day that time), but Chee Chan’s view is definitely top notch. Everywhere from the greens (which was lightning fast), fairways, bunkers and roughs were all in fresh green coloured despite not having much rain in Patts for few weeks.Welcome gift of a Chee Chan towel were given to each golfer, which was good. It was also crowded on the King’s birthday – public holiday but we were better valued in Chee Chan than Siam CC Plantation as we were allowed to tee-off as and when ready and caddies/marshall control the pace of our group very well. Groups of 3 were let to go first and our group of 4 were asked to rest 10 mins after 9 holes. This was much more acceptable and after the 9H break, there were no more groups chasing behind us thus ending our 18h in relaxed and memorable fashion. First 9H of Chee Chan was challenging and long. Back 9 were much friendlier and enjoyable. Chee Chan truly impressed me this time with the course and its service. A must play in Pattaya and would definitely rank as one of the top courses in Thailand – giving Siam CC a good run for $$.

  2. Chee chan golf resort Pattaya Thailand, what an amazing course. Last played 3 years ago hen first opened, trees and shrubs are growing well, greens are quick and true, the fairways are in amazing condition.

  3. Really nice club house, lovely staff. Good food in the restaurant. Course is good and enjoyed the layout. Quite forgiving. Caddies we’re good. Course was a bit patchy when I was there, but at peak it would be amazing.

  4. Played at Chee Chan for the first time Nov 2022 after coming to Pattaya in 2018 and this year for a group gold trip. We played all the Siam and Rayong courses, plus a couple more-11 in total. Although all agree Siam CC courses are beautiful, this course, from the glamorous clubhouse, to views of the buddha mountain from every tee, lightening fast greens, very well-kept fairways, greens and rough, with very good caddies overall, this was agreed a favourite or at least in top 3.The course Marshall of the day evidently very proud of the course and the level of maintenance across the board, exceptional. Only dampener(literally) to our round was that it poured rain first 6 or so holes, so would love to come back on a clear day. We will be back, no doubt.Well worth it.

  5. Great facility with great employees providing exceptional service. I went out solo in the afternoon accompanied by Apple, who was my caddie for the day. She did a solid job providing me with the distance and the reads on the greens. The Buddha mountain back drop with the sun coming down behind us was quite majestic. The only downer was that I played like a clown (83) but hey golf is hard! I ate curry in the restaurant after the round to cap things off and it was delicious!! Thanks to all at the facility for a warm welcome, until next time!

  6. Beautiful course, very good club facilities. Friendly staff and a very well maintained golf resort. Highly recommend for all golfers. F&B is good and fresh. Good selections of drinks and food. Staff is always available to assist.

  7. I only had time to play at one of the courses close to Pattaya. So I had to choose amongst several apparently nice courses. I ended up choosing Chee Chan from my short list, mainly due to the big Buddha painted on the mountain wall.Of course I expected the course to be nice, which is was – with a good balance of water and sand. Making the course fun to play. Also the Buddha was visible from a lot of the holes. The greens were very quick compared to what I’m used to, making them very difficult to play. The fairways were quite wide and easy to play. The bunkers had nice and loose sand.On the other side I don’t like that I’m required to have a caddy. I know, this is not unique for this course in Thailand, but still I prefer without. Especially since the caddies have no experience in playing the game (my caddie had never hit a ball). They only have learned to read the greens, which was to some help, but again not worth it.About the pay – I may not be used to having caddies. So I don’t know how the pay is done. At this course it was stated caddie fee as a separate item when I paid to play. So I thought I was good. So I got a bit surprised when I was about to tip the caddie and she said she needed to get paid a fixed price – almost the same as I already had paid in the pro-shop. Not sure if I got tricked or not, but I felt tricked. Either by the club or the caddie. The pro-shop should have informed me if i should pay more.

  8. Finest golf course I have played in Thailand. Fairways are spectacular ,as our the greens, & so many great views of Budda Mountain. Driving range and 2 putting greens are excellent. Pro shop plenty of helpful staff & restaurant a large variety of excellent Thai & Western meals. 5 Stars all the way.

  9. Outstanding course, quality caddies with good English. Can be expensive so important to select the day you play, weekdays can be cheaper

  10. Our second golf game was at the Chee Chan Golf Resort in the Chanthaburi region near Pattaya. This is a 18 hole championship course built around mountains and temples. The iconic feature of this course is the image of Buddha on Khao Chee Chan. The image was done by Thai marines using laser imaging. This golf course is well designed with the standard water and bunker hazards. A challenging course for all levels of golfers. The course is well maintained and the caddies are well trained. This is one of the few courses that allow entry into the fairways. We played on dec 9, a public holiday in Pattaya; happened to be a very long weekend stretching for 6 days.We tee-off at 12 on a hot day. Towards the end the strong wind helped to cool the temperature and we ended our game in cool comfort.I had one of my good golf days. I played from the golden tee for seniors instead of the red tees. Lost one ball trying to lay up rather than to try to cross the water hazard.
