We visited Thai Thani Villiage not knowing what to expect and am happy to say that we were very happy with our choice. The villiage is unique in the way that there are not many places within the area to see traditional Thai lifestyle and take part in it. The dinner was delightful and the performances were worth the admissions alone. It is a place worth visiting for all ages.
Just fine. Kinda disappointing to not see the outdoor performances and not able to participate in the activities that were advertised. However, the buffet dinner was good and the show during dinner was exquisite.
I went there with my friends and boy, did we have fun!! We got to dress up in beautiful Thai traditional costumes, and experienced a lot of fun yet somehow educational activities. I loved the dinner it’s definitely a must!
This is a “Thai Cultural Park” which offers the commonplace display of Thai dancing, elephant rides (unfortunately), boat rides in a very limited area and (the highlight for the Thai girls in our party) the opportunity to hire period outfits, albeit with a choice of one, and photograph each other in the cute mock houses. This particular day saw a deluge of rain and the paved levels could not cope. For me, it was an ok way of spending half a day because it was easy to drive to the rather out of the way location. I assume the free entry is purely promotional, and they will soon institute a (dual-priced) admission charge.
I, along with other 9 friends visited Thai Thanee on 12 May 2018. The admission fee is 150 B /person. If you want to have a meal, you have to pay 500 B more. We started with Thai tradional massage which was very good after a long day trip. The muscle strain’s gone. Next we tasted several Thai tidbits eg Somtam (papaya salad) kanomkrok ( Thai cake) Mengkam etc Then we visited a few Thai styles of houses in northern part and northeastern part of Thailand. Then we joined Thai dance and performance. All are good and worth to visit.
We had visited this beautiful well maintained set up of a traditional Thai village during our vacation in Pattaya. This place is located close to Nong Nooch Botanical garden. We had booked tickets through Klook and redeemed my voucher at the counter here. From the ticket counter, a cute Thai girl escorted us to the section where traditional Thai arts like massage, live cooking were on display. A guy massaged our back and later we tasted some traditional Thai delicacies like hot coconut cakes. A guide took us on a tour of the traditional Thai village set up with house, temple, garden, lake etc. Good place to experience real Thai culture and cuisine.
After being mobbed at Nong Nooch Botanical gardens we came back to Thai Thani which we saw on the way. We were pleasantly surprised. At 10 am, our family, 2 adults and 2 kids age 2 and 4, were the only visitors this early in the morning. The 2 year old was free. The 4 year old was 100baht and the adults are 200/person. After entering with our 2 guides, we saw some displays about how silk is made, the worms, cocoon, threads, dyes, weaving. The there were 2 cooking displays where we watched how it was done and ate the coconut treats and papaya salad (delicious!) Then the adults got a mini Thai massage using traditional steamed herbs while the kids made a floating offering with bananas leaves and flowers. They also watched the ladies doing decorative fruit cutting and each got a flower to take. Then we looked in a traditional Isan house, then a Lanna house. Finally the main reason we had come….to paint umbrellas. Each one got a fairly large umbrella for 100 baht each (the first time we had to pay anything extra, compared to Nong Nooch where everything is extra!) We sat and enjoyed the fan cooling us off while painting. Then we saw a Karen and Hmong traditional house, but we didn’t go inside since a cute little 4 year old elephant walked by. We walked with the elephant and fed it and touched it. There was also a traditional puppet show at 11:30 and a place to do Songkran with the staff, but we decided it was time for lunch and called it a day. By then, a few tour buses had shown up and it wasn’t as peaceful anymore. For the money we spent (half of the gardens with their loud shows and hoards of people), we felt it was very educational for us, beautifully peaceful, and also fun to do a craft that we got to take home. They could improve it a little by people actually doing things in the houses to make it more lifelike, or a person actually weaving, and maybe when it is busier with the buses, they do. Overall we enjoyed our time.
We went here without any great expectations but really loved it. Lovely reproductions of northern houses, beautiful gardens, wonderful show with dancing and a brief introduction to the Songkram festival. But the part which we will remember always was the gentleman who gave us a short Thai massage with the hot herbs and all. He noticed that my friend had a problem with her knee and spent considerable extra time working on it. So kind and pleasant. I definitely recommend this visit.
Reading their website it looked very interesting and there was no reference to restrictions of visiting. However on arrival we were told at the ticket counter that it is realy only for coach tour visits. If we wanted to enter we would have to pay for a meal and show at a cost of 1,490 baht each. Very very annoying after travelling a long way to visit. The website and adverts need to make this information clear.
