  1. Very nice temple complex with the largest Buddha statue in Bangkok that is remarkable. I recommend taking a boat ride to see the statue from the waterway next to the temple. Also, it can get a bit crowded if a tour bus with lots of tourists unload while you are there.

  2. I saw the big golden Buddha the last time I was in Bangkok only from a river boat but had the chance to visit this time for real and wow, it is huge! Really impressive. I would add this to your 2-3 day visit to Bangkok.

  3. How has this only got 16 reviews so far?! This is such a breathtaking place. We only knew of it because we could see the Buddha from our hotel about 5km away and thought we must go Really peaceful (didn’t feel busy, again, appears this is not as well known about) and could relax and take in the area. Size of the Buddha is just incredible. This is just a must see and would be on our list again when visiting BKK!

  4. This is a great temple with a huge Buddha and fascinating museum that I somehow never made it to before. Additionally, there are a few other great temples in the area worth visiting

  5. I had seen it in images and videos and visited with high expectations. The actual color and brilliance is beyond my imagination, and the images cannot convey the beauty beyond words. The mysterious colors are like a small outer space.

  6. I only found out about this place after watching the Amazing Race and I’m surprised it isn’t more popular. The Statue and the Pagoda are pretty stunning and I’m surprised that there is no admission fee to visit. It’s also really cool that you can see it from the nearby canals so don’t that view of the buddha.

  7. Built in 2017, this large Buddha has become a major attraction in Bangkok. You can reach it by taking the Skytrain to Saphan Taksin and then walking for about half an hour, or through organized tours that include visiting a couple of remaining river canals in Bangkok or taxis. Visit from my point of view, interesting, the Big Buddha.. it really is.. great and impressive. On top of that, there are interesting spots to photograph along the way.

  8. We really enjoyed seeing the big Buddha in person. It’s very stunning and definitely worth a trek out of the city to see. One note, there is a sign for boat tour to take photos with a box for Donation and no prices listed. We thought it was like the offering which was also by donations, so we slowly put some money in the donations box and the man there didn’t say anything. It was only afterwards, that he tried to get us to take a private boat tour for 700 baht. We were slightly confused and said we are only seeking regular boat tour in which he responded it will be 100 baht pp and we had to wait for more people. If that’s the case, why isn’t it listed but rather there’s a donations box? Why didn’t he tell us while we were putting money into the box what we needed to put in?

  9. The statue is absolutely beautiful and easy to spot from far away. This is definitely a cool spot to enjoy pictures and relax while learning about Thai culture.

  10. The size of the Buddha is astounding! A beautiful temple precinct, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We found it easy to get to from Wutthakat Sky Train station, walking through back streets where we passed other temples along the way. We found a different way back along a main road. Definitely worth doing.
