  1. I have just completed the 3 day off road tour. What an experience me and my friend had from start to finish couldn’t of made it any better if they tried. From the word go to the end it was fantastic with every type of terrain throwing at us and not to mention the remote places we visited. Lawrence and song were great and very patient and understanding with everyone’s riding capabilities and were always there to give little pointers. And the trail they had set out for us was just awesome and made it the views and where we went we would of never seen without there tour. The bikes were brilliant and the food and hotels booked were great. Even meet up with Lawrence and song for a couple of drinks on a night after or tour. Thanks again lads you made it a 1 to remember and we shall definitely be seeing yous again with hopefully more in our group. Cheers lads ???

  2. Our 1-day trip was the highlight of our 2-week stay in Thailand. They were able to somehow get the 4 of us booked the very last minute. Communication with Lawrence was a breeze and our guide, Song, was great too. The ride was awesome—mostly off-road in Chiang Mai up in the mountains. Completely worth the money spent, I would have paid double. I highly recommend ANY trip with these guys at LRTW.

  3. Introduction and first impressions:I chose the one day off-road tour which includes the bike, protective gear, fuel, water, lunch and soft drinks. The website looks professional and contains all the information you need. I was on my own and had never really done any proper off-roading (enduro) before even though I have over 12 years experience on the road. I contacted them by WhatsApp and they took a deposit on PayPal. The whole process was simple and their English is fluent. On the day I arrived at their office I joined a group with 3 other people doing the tour and the operators Lawrence and Song (apologies if spelled incorrectly ?). Everything was very welcoming and friendly with everyone getting introduced and stating our various experience. We all headed into the office where we were kitted out with proper gear though it had obviously been well used was fit for purpose. They do state on the website that you will more comfortable in your own gear so it’s worth bringing your own if you plan on doing more than one day or if you want to use action cameras. The helmet I was using actually had a GoPro mount on it but my camera just wouldn’t cooperate that day. Best to bring a backpack you don’t mind getting dusty to carry water in and whatever else you need. I emptied mine except for essentials and left it behind in the office which was locked behind us.Once everybody was happy with their outfit we went out and were shown to our bikes. They have a good selection of well maintained and set up Honda CRF250 and Kawasaki KLX dependent on your height, experience ect. The even have a little 150 for the more petite/novice person. I was shown to one of their custom CRF250 (being 6’3” and having ridden those types of bikes before) set up for taller riders though I did miss my bar risers which would be my only suggestion for the bikes. They allow you to stand up on the pegs without having to hunch over so much (not so much of a problem for shorter riders). Before we set off they made sure to check that everybody had water (provided) and that we were all ready to go.Tour experience:So to the actual tour itself. We were told that the area we’d be riding in was Mae Rim. There was a little bit of highway riding required to get to where we going but this is done at a gentle pace making sure everybody sticks together. Song led at the front while Lawrence stayed at the back so everybody could get help if and when required. When we arrived at the actual trails the same formation was kept so as people inevitably fell they were helped back up while the others waited just ahead. This allowed the people who needed a bit more assistance (myself initially ☺️) to stay closer to the guide while not holding up the others at the front. It starts out easy with basic flat trails that you can get a bit of tail action going on and simple climbs and drops with nothing too challenging before we came to our first rest stop. This was so the tour guides could judge our abilities and see how much they could push us without making things too difficult. As the day progressed the terrain gradually got more difficult with technical sections involving climbs and drops over trails where rain had formed deep ruts for wheels to get trapped in. Riding on loose gravel and sand where balance between throttle and body position is key to not end up with a tank slapper scenario. Tight turns though more dense forest with a few optional log hops if you fancied it.I managed to fall off the bike twice without breaking it or myself and went off in the wrong direction a couple of times too. The guides are quick to help you up and give you all the time you need before you’re ready to go again. You’re never rushed or made to feel like an idiot. There are regular stops for water and a couple of photo ops. Lunch was provided by a local restaurant serving decent Thai food and drinks (all included).Getting towards the end of the day a couple of us (including myself) were getting a bit tired both mentally and physically. I was starting to fall behind and getting quite wobbly. Lawrence gave me a tip about keeping my elbows up as I was riding along with a more relaxed ‘elbows at my sides’ position which was making my whole body move. This was a great tip and I started flying along again. Eventually I wasn’t at the back anymore ?. This has also helped my road riding ability massively and I feel much more agile on the bike now. Before the day ended we stopped for fuel where we were offered some more soft drinks and a bit of a proper rest.Ended up back at the office before 5 as we had decided to have less stops and push on more due to the heat of the day. We all returned what we had borrowed and had a bit of a debrief before finally going our separate ways. Even though I stuck around for a bit of a natter I never felt pushed out the door.Summary:I had an amazing time and so did everybody else that day. I think the price is comparable to tours you can do in the UK (probably a bit better actually) but you get more bang for your buck; 5200 baht which is about 130 pounds. Decent local food, great weather, great scenery (even a chance to see elephants) and an experience that’s tailored to you without having to compete with dog walkers, horse riders and ramblers who see you as nothing other than an inconvenience. Everyone on the tour thanked each other for not having a “granny ride” ?.I think it’s best to go in groups of skill matched riders as it will mean you can get the most out of the day. I was fortunate to join a group of people with similar experience. Overall I highly recommend ‘let’s ride the world’ if you are considering doing an off-road bike experience while in Chiang Mai no matter what your previous endeavours with bikes are. You’ll have a great time and probably learn a thing or two. Thanks Lawrence and Song ???

  4. Best off road tour. Best guides.Communication is easy. We booked an off road tour for my partner and me, it wasn’t busy so it was only the 2 of us on the tour. We went through amazing forest, past the sticky waterfall and a bat cave. Awesome local lunch was included. I can only recommend these guys.

  5. Lawrence was just super easy going and an excellent, excellent instructor. Never having had experience riding on a scooter before, he helped us go at our own pace to learn how to maneuver and drive these ubiquitous vehicles. By the time we went through the slaloms and figure 8s, we felt confident enough to be able to foray out into outer Chiang Mai. The trip we took – out to lunch, then out to Huay Tueng Thao lake and the park there with the hilarious rice straw sculptures and beautiful flowers – was just hellacious good fun and just right for us. I think the very personalized experience we had is really what makes Let’s Ride The World so great – we were challenged, but in the best possible way. Really, really enjoyed our day, and we couldn’t stop grinning (had to pick the bugs out of our teeth). 😀 We would definitely, definitely repeat, and we couldn’t recommend this service more highly. One thing to note: as of Jan 2023, when we went to the location, Grab has not updated the address and we wound up going out to their old location. Make sure, if you use Grab to get out there, that you use the address from their website to make sure you get as much time on their cycles as you can!

  6. The best introduction to riding a scooter and an experience in itself too. Lawrence was lovely and our instructor Don was brilliant. We first went to a quiet area to practice drills such as figure of 8 and slalom – it was very personalised and we got constant feedback to improve. In the afternoon we then went out on roads around Chiang Mai and did a beautiful drive in the mountains as well as on busy roads to give us confidence. It really was a personalised experience going at the pace we were comfortable and giving us confidence. Would definitely recommend.

  7. Guided solo trip Mae Hong Son loop. I’m not an experienced rider but Lawrence was a great communicator and gave me the confidence with a guide Dom. I was rented a modern 500cc adventure bike that Dom allowed me to ride to my own ability. When it was wet especially. Dom was great for stopping at the right places & the right timing for refreshments. Although hard to find Coke Zero in the rural areas but Dom would get me caffine in what ever form to keep me alert. Local food choices was excellent. Main thing is Dom was calm and great for a solo guide of any experience. Also quite an electric guitarist if you get the gift of listening to him play. Wish I did 2 night stay in Pai. I will be back.

  8. Lawrence was prompt in responding to email or WhatsApp and flexible to find a date that worked for me, and answering questions as I have never ridden before. His instructors Don and Om were patient and friendly, and encouraging to give positive feedback, while pointing out tips to get me riding safely and comfortably in one day. We spent a lot of time on clutch and shifting, balancing at slow speeds and safe urgent stops. We took breaks to rest and the emphasis was always on safety and comfort. By the end of the day I was able to follow my instructornOm on the streets, make u-turns and take neighbor hood streets and even the expressway back to the office. A true life accomplishment for me with a world class level of service. I will be back for off-road or mountain tour!!

  9. Signed up for the one day enduro ride and everything from the booking to getting home ran flawlessly. I was initially a little concerned about my skill level being high enough as I’m more a casual weekend rider than an expert. The guide was a genius at taking us on trails that were the perfect mix of fun and challenge for the small group (just me and one other customer). Perhaps one of the things I loved most about these guys vs most of the others offering enduro tours in the area was that these guys supply everything. You just turn up with socks and jocks! Body armor, boots, helmet, googles and all the usual gear is included in the price, so is lunch and drinking water for the ride. Honestly can’t fault these guys. The only note I’ll add is that if you’re getting a Grab to their departure point it might take you to a random location a few streets away, so use the street address rather than searching for Let’s Ride in grab.

  10. I had never ridden a scooter before, and driving on the left side seemed like an extra challenge, so I decided to try this lesson. It turned out to be such a fun and helpful experience. We started with practice on a small training ground, learning the basics and getting comfortable with the scooter. After that, we went on real roads, which was kind of intimidating at first, but the crew made it feel safe. They had a truck following behind to block traffic, so it felt like we were riding in a controlled environment but still getting a real experience. The surroundings were beautiful—greenery everywhere and some amazing views along the way. The whole team was super chill, patient, encouraging and funny. So I originally just wanted to learn the basics of scooter riding, but it ended up being a little tour in nature around Chiang Mai and an unforgettable experience. So worth the money
