I did a 3 days self guided cycle around Chiang Mai – incredible journey! The route provided by Etienne was incredibly clear and easy to interpret. Cycled through the Chiang Mai country side, passing many Wats and statues, in most cases with few if any other visitors. Lodges recommended were clean and comfortable.The all round service provided by Etienne and Co was fantastic and highly recommended. Much cheaper then others providing similar experience. would love to come back and try a longer trip!
Amazing and relaxing day with our guide Ohm who was very professional and knew a lot. The best guide we could wish for. A lot of variation: tempels, rice fields, organic farm, history and handicrafts. The organisation was perfect. The bikes were ready to go at our hotel. One of the highlights on our trip in Thailand.
The 13 day (2 rest days) selfdirected bike tour. Very well maintained bikes, fab Ortlieb panniers. No support vehicle, but maintenance on call.OK. Lets be clear. Taking a 10-13 day self directed bike tour in regions around Chiang Mai is not for everyone. Who would love it? * If you enjoy the challenge of navigating old school, without GPS or google maps, with a magical mystery tour of line by line instructions. Turn right in 2.1km at the Y, etc. So much intrigue!* If You are comfortable with some traffic on pieces of the routes -motos, cars, trucks. Thais are extremely courteous people. And drivers. But you need to be stimulated by occasional busyness that needs your attention.* If you can handle some hot sun and humidity, especially over the last hours of your +\- 50km day* If you enjoy Thai food, and welcoming old school resorts – clean, quaint at times, with comfy beds and AC. And pools! And massages.We always felt safe and supported, even if sweaty and wearing the perfume of adventure.
Amazing! Ohm lead us in a 32km (20 mile) bike tour out of the city center into the farming communities outside. First stop was the former leper colony, and now a seniors facility. Beautiful grounds. But kybgavorite was riding thru the countryside and stopping at local farms and for the Kao Soi noodles at a local restaurant. Saw the old city and a temple before we headed back to our hotel. Ohm was great with ensuring our safety as we crossed thru busy traffic in the city and for making sure the 4 of us stayed with him. What an amazing day!
We had the most amazing adventure with Click and Travel 4 day self guided biking tour and I strongly recommend it ! We are a family of four (2 boys, 12 and 17) and we had a great time biking around the Northern Thai countryside. We stayed in three different hotels, travelled 40 kilometres a day on average and carried our stuff in paniers on our bikes (only the essentials, we left the rest at our hotel in Chiang Mai). Etienne gave us very specific and detailed directions so that we stayed on countryside roads and felt very safe and did not get lost (well, except once but we then found our way). Also, excellent back up support in case you need. The bikes are super good quality which is great as you don’t get tired biking. The route we chose was relatively flat (except day 2) so it was very easy for us to bike. I would like to add that we are living in Hong Kong and we do not bike at home, nor are we experienced bikers (except my husband). However, we did not get tired during the four days. I highly recommend the tour, not only for discovering the countryside but also as a great family bonding experience. Thanks again Etienne for the great organisation !
We did a 4 day self-guided tour on bike. Really nice tour. Approx. 45km a day which is a perfect distance. The bikes and waterproof bags (panniers) were fine (waterproof and necessary in the rainy season!). The route instructions were easy to follow once you understand the system. The roads all perfectly good for biking, often leading through small villages and back alleys, than through rice paddies and fruit orchards. It was rice planting season (august) and Lam Yai harvest time. You be smiles and waves along the way, people are really nice. Lunch can always be found if one isn’t picky! The rural, small scale resorts were nice, each with a pool (but don’t be surprised if WiFi doesn’t work or the airconditioning only works half…). Surprisingly though we often were the only guests! The kitchen would open for us (because it is either too dark to go and find a restaurant or after spending the good part of a day on bike, it’s nice to be lazy too). The staff was always lovely! All in all we must have biked about 180km in 4 days. I can recommend this trip and extend your stay in a Chiang Mai so you get to see life outside of the city. Really nice!
With my family ( with kids from 9-17) we had 4 wonderful days of approximately 45 km cycling. All hotels were fine (Jasmin Hills lodge, Baanpong lodge, Baan Nam Pong lodge) and the food good. Bikes were fine and the route was easy to find due to the detailed prescription from Etienne. Day 4 was a little disappointing because we made a loop and passed ( after 15 km) the lodge again (all though on the other side of the river). We would recommend a trip like this to see the real Thailand!
We booked this at the last minute (day before) and they were happy to accommodate, even though we were the only two signed up. We chose the half-day bike ride to the east of Chiang Mai rather than the more popular one to the south, and we’re glad we did.Our guide, Ohm, was great. Very friendly and informative. It was very comfortable riding 20 miles with him. The route was interesting, fun, and quite doable – good Trek bikes helped. The rice fields were close to ready for harvest, and quite picturesque. We passed through several small neighborhoods, which were as interesting to see as the countryside. We stopped at a museum and Ohm walked us through the highlights – just the right amount, both for the history lesson and the rest stop.The other stop was a wonderful roadside restaurant (included), and for an extra special touch, Ohm biked somewhere else while we ate and brought us back dessert!This was a good choice for a way to see everyday life away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and the mountainous backdrop made for a pretty ride.

We booked a half day tour with 3 young children (1yo, 4yo and 6yo). We loved the tour. Etienne and his team helped us to arrange the tour in the best conditions. Our guide Ohm was extremely professional and focused on our safety first of all. The equipments were perfect for all of us and in very good condition. Ohm took us to visit many places such as temples, rice fields… and always giving us explanations and informations about Thai culture. The itinerary was pleasant, we got out from the city quickly to enjoy the countryside of Chiang Mai which must be seen.
