To put things in perspective.. this is my first ever review and the only reason I’m writing it is that rock bar deserves it. Went there in a big group and everyone of us had an amazing time. Definitely the highlight of our trip! Would definitely go back to Sami just for this bar..
We’ve heard a lot about this bar and many said it was a scam. We decided to go anyway. We ordered two astronaut shakes 😛 they were disgusting as they’re supposed to be. The bar has a nice vibe, reggae and soul. And it’s a place for open minded people to hang out on. After our stay we ordered some fresh ingredients to go. Well let’s just say that we were two happy astronauts that evening 🙂 I recommend ordering fresh ingredients to eat instead of the shakes. It’s better in every way!Thank you! We can definitely recommend it!
An absolute must see by day is the Hin Ta Hin Yai… but do not forget to visit the nearby rock-bar by night… if you love reggae and chilled music…youre in the right place
Can’t even put into words how amazing this place was! It’s just a place you have’to see and experience if you’re ever coming to the islands. Will definitely visit again. Chill and kind people and very _very_ chill vibes. 5/5 would recommend!
Nice lovely place having mother father called rocks in background called Hinta Hinyaite rocks place to spend time with food stalls
Wonderful place from the afternoon onwards,we left before the evening so can’t speak about the evening vibe.Grab a smoothie and chill on the nice floor seats.Good view of trees and a small bay, nice little jungle feel. Reggae music with good bass plays, not too loud so you can still play games and chat. The bathroom facilities were quite clean when I was there.Service and food(I had a burger) leaves quite abit of room for improvement though. But that’s not the reason you come here, the atmosphere is the attraction at Rock bar.
Nice bar good atmosphere but dont take the magic cocktail way too expensive for what it is, if you like a very light trip go for it but if you have experience with it dont go for it
Cool bar set on the shore line. Came here about 9 years ago (I believe) before Cannabis was legalised. There is still that distinct waft in the air.It is very rustic – UK health and safety would have a field day. Lots of exposed rusty nails so take care negotiating the various levels, especially if wet (as it was for our visit). Distinct colour scheme!Great place to hang out for a few hours, especially if you like Reggae music.
BAD VIBESVery disappointed at the vibe at the Rasta bar. I drive about 30minutes across the island to enjoy the place after I came here 10years ago and wanted to check it out again. I paid $200 baht for a Daqueri which I was more than happy to do.Then I decided to roll up some weed that I bought from another establishment, not long after an older gentleman came up and told me he can sell me some. I said I’d love to look at the menu. He then asked what I wanted about 5minutes later. I told him no thank you I’m fine with just my drink. He then proceeded to tell me I couldn’t bring outside stuff in and totally killed the vibe after I spent a decent amount of bhat on a mediocre cocktail. I felt pressured to put out my joint and was also now high and felt in welcomed :(. He pretty much just stared at me after looking angry. So I downed my drink and left.(Honestly I was planning on maybe even some food and another drink, but it didn’t feel right after)BAD VIBES
A real gem that’s made into the rocks and trees with a great vibe. Hard to find but worth the effort once you get there. Drinks are reasonable and the cocktails at 200bht are a steal
