This is not for anyone who is not interested in jewelry. They just would not appreciate the place. We have been to Phuket many times and have visited Gems on several occasions and purchased products. Yes, you can get blown away by the prices, but the quality is excellent. Items that we purchased many years ago have now tripled or quadrupled in value.Yes, the staff can get in your face but remember you are in Thailand so it happens everywhere. Just be polite, smile and move on.I would recommend getting some jewelry but be prepared to part with your money, it will be worth it in the long run.
It’s was an amazing experience , our consultants were great, prices and quality amazing. I have no idea why these people are complaining if you can’t afford it. Stay out of the store.
Given what we had heard about Thai rubies and gemstones, my wife wanted to take a look while we were in Phuket. Found Gem Gallery on TA and it was great. This a very large store, extremely well kept up and has a great selection. We ended up buying a pearl necklace and some loose stones that we will bring back to the states and have set into jewelry. Definitely recommend.
Professional set up and contrary to other reviews we didn’t get hassled by the staff. I haven’t given a great review purely based on price. It is slightly cheaper than Europe and there is more to choose from. However if it’s a bargain you are looking for stop in Dubai on the way here. Far superior quality stones, sales guys really know what they are talking about and designs are as good.

Gems Gallery had a myriad of varieties of jewellery and stones. The staff were great especially Meena was very enthusiastic and eager to serve us. She helped us in selecting the jewellery. We were very happy with her service and would return to the place next time.
HUGE JEWELLERY SHOP.. not many gems .. a few display walls .. and highly costly for the raw material. $45k for 5kg+ pc of rose quartz is ridiculous, I pay $35per kg, but I do lapidary and jewelry making so I know the gems & crystals wholesale prices. Masses of set jewelry PC’s, looked amazing, she wasnt impressed I didn’t like the prices and said I know your style & took me too the fashion jewelry lol!!.. I just know my materials and won’t be getting ripped off. If they were realistic with gems I may have bought some .. but based on their price my collection is in the billions$$$ hahahah
Visited as part of trip to Phuket there was a little ride and they ushered you to the showroom which was vast. We would have loved to have looked around but to be pestered continually and being shown things we weren’t interested in was so off putting we walked out
Firstly remember this is high quality handmade jewelry with quality metals and excellent cut and quality gems. If you seek mass produced cheaper items look elsewhere.The service may seem “pushy”, however a personal assistant in a luxury store is normal practice in all countries, this is Thailand hospitality, not rudeness.I was served by U-MA who was a pleasure. She had perfect English and we chatted about my lifestyle and colours and gold preferences. She was not pushy with budget, I was honest about it and she respects this.She then brings items to view that are all perfect and exactly what I discussed. I selected diamond earrings and then asked for a ring for my daughter. I showed pictures of her choice, but nothing matched. U-MA arranged custom made ring to exact picture and correct ring size, it took less than one hour to hand make!!This store is Disneyland for quality jewelry lovers. Be respectful and kind and you may get very small discount, but don’t ask for rude amount.Highly recommend and I will return next year to see U-MA again ❤️❤️❤️❤️
