  1. Being tea addicts, when we found out that we could do a tea garden tour during our time in Chiang Mai, we hired a private cab and headed there for the afternoon tour. We were greeted at the front by our tour guide and offered cold towels to freshen up after our hour long drive from Chiang Mai. Our tour guides were knowledgeable of the tea making process, and made the whole experience fun! We wanted to take some additional photos at the end, and they offered to take us back to the garden to accommodate our request! We ended up buying some tea to take home with us! The location is beautiful and the facilities have been maintained very well! See our photos for more detail 😊

  2. Great views and great tea. We have seen a lot of Tea plantations and this one ranks highly next to our favorites in Darjeeling

  3. We loved the tea tour! I didn’t know anything about growing, picking and producing tea before I arrived. The tour was informative, hands-on, and entertaining. The lunch was EXCELLENT. We had a great experience. Charlie is a great guide.

  4. I did question as to why we had signed up to this, not really our thing! But we had a great time picking tea learning how the various teas are made and sampling their very best tea & purchasing some to bring home. Charlie the guide was great and very knowledgeable. We really did enjoy our morning here.

  5. Beautiful place. Excellent and welcoming restaurant. The selection of teas (host and cold) is very good. Definitely worth the visit.

  6. Lovely experience! I would definitely recommend to anyone going to Chiang Mai area to go to this tea plantation and join their tea tour (Thai and English tour abailable). You should book the tour in advance. As we could not communicate so well in English on the phone, I sent a message on their instagram and reserved our visit (500 bahts per person, paid upon arrival). Check their visiting hours and days. Due to Covid, they were forced to reduce the days they are open to the public. We would recommend to have lunch at their restaurant after the tour. We sat in the garden, sipping tea and enjoying some Thai food. They have a small store where you can buy their tea (really nice gift to bring home).

  7. Really fun and educational. My teenagers could ask all kinds of questions and enjoyed the tea tasting experience. The site is clean, sophisticated, and well worth the beautiful drive to get there!

  8. The place was very nice, Only the coffee shop in the restaurant is open On Saturday and Sundaybut the factory was closed on Saturday Sunday, They should change it the website.

  9. The tour of the Araksa Tea Plantation is fascinating, showing you when and how to pick tea-leaves, how the leaves are made into tea and how different types of tea are made. We were there at the weekend so, unfortunately, we could not see the factory in operation but some demonstrations of the process by hand. There is good restaurant and gift shop on site. Make sure you use insect repellant before going into the field to pick tea leaves.

  10. This was a great tour and very well organised by Absolutely Fantastic Tours Chiang Mai. First we picked tea leaves and found out some of the history of the plantation. We were then taught how they hand roast green tea. We were shown around the factory where other teas are processed. We then got to taste green tea. Both iced and hot. It was delicious. We then had one of the best meals we have had in Thailand it included salad and lightly battered tea leaves, chicken breast, curry, soup and rice. Every dish was a winner. The host was very knowledgeable and funny. Special mention must go to the tea expert who roasts the leaves. She does this purely on instinct. A great day enjoyed by all.
