  1. Arrived early in the morning. Club house not in the best shape. A slow start with a stressing start time due to staff. Once away the golf course was well prepared and the scenery was amazing. Tight course where you need to keep straight shoots. Water and trees always in play.

  2. If I could have rated zero I would have. I am at the course now which wait time is sooooo long, I have enough time to write this. I called the marshal over and she said she cannot manage and ask that we skip. Is it the job of the marshal to track time? This is worse than public course and we paid 5500 Bhat. No time management. If you want to wait to hit a ball every five minutes. Please come to red mountain

  3. Being in the area of an old tin mine means that it has significant gradients for certain holes. The 17th Par 3 has a really dramatic drop from the tee box to the green, but other holes have drops too e.g. hole 8. The course requires accurate shots, otherwise you are in the jungle/water/ravine! Greens were on the fast side. The caddies had very limited English but gave basic information ok. The marshall was non-existent – we were stuck behind 2 singles, the first who was very very slow- in getting to the ball and taking his shot once he was at his ball. Thankfully, our caddies were pro-active in helping us skip ahead a few holes and the returned to the skipped holes later. We also had a 300 baht “credit” for the resort which was nice to get a souvenir after the round! Overall an enjoyable round and would return.

  4. The Red Mountain GC is IMHO one of the most beautiful and challenging courses to be found anywhere! Every hole gives you a unique challenge.Caddies were knowledgeble, play however was a little bit on the slow side.Clubhouse is not as fancy as many others in Thailand, service in the restaurant was slow.

  5. Outstanding!! There are not enough superlatives to describe this course. I’m a fussy golfer and I expect the best. My home course in Canada, Tarandowah Golfers Club, is a Martin Hawtree links design that is ranked 32nd best public course in Canada and 76th best overall so you can understand my fussiness.Red Mountain is truly beautiful and a great design. I have golfed all around the world including Seta where the LPGA play the Japan Open, and Vidanta where PGA has Mexico Open next week, Crooked Cat at Orange County National in Florida, Kiawah Island, South Carolina, Pinehurst, North Carolina, Bear Mountain in British Columbia. Red Mountain beats them all … by far. The design and layout is incredible with many elevation changes. Each hole has a unique character about it and it flows so nicely from one hole to the next. Beautiful vistas on every hole.My caddie Fang (006) was awesome. If she tells you line and speed, believe her because she was always right. She offered perfect target lines on all drives as well. Her sister Nan (009) was really good too. Many thanks to Candice in Marketing for arranging my tee times. She responds to emails within minutes!!Free wifi in clubhouse and restaurant is a nice touch as well. Prices for golf apparel in clubhouse and food in restaurant are very reasonable.I was only planning on playing 2 rounds per week for the time I’m in Phuket because I’m a poor retiree 😊, but I bumped it up to 3 rounds because it really is that good. I was quite surprised how green the course was, and how good the greens were because it hasn’t rained. They must put a lot of water to it and they must take extraordinary care to keep it in such good shape. Greens were firm and fast and ran true. All the staff from the greeters, to clubhouse staff, to the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. I wish I lived closer. I might have to move here. One last thing … I teed off just before noon and we got around in under 3 hours. Wowza! The perfect golf day.

  6. This is a beautiful but tough little track close to Patong. We had a great time and our caddies did their best to help us but golfing for the first time in six months combined with little forgiveness, we did end up buying several extra balls but would not hesitate to go back.

  7. Always a great time at Red Mountain and the course was in good shape. Caddies excellent as usual and speak good English. The 5th and 6th holes seem to be the subject of constant maintenance which hopefully will end soon. Quite surprised to see the amount of tree clearing that has gone on as you drive up the main road towards the clubhouse (or to the left of 12th hole) as well as the large void between 15th and 16th holes, many are hopeful that the ongoing hospital development will not lead to the course being disrupted or spoiled permanently, this would be a tragedy for what is the best course on Phuket.

  8. As always the course is superb and definitely worth a visit, excellent condition, the caddies are fantastic and the course is just a dream to play, tough in places and definitely challenging but an absolute must do for all golfers

  9. The Biggest gripe was that the staff doesn’t understand golf clubs and forces you to use the rental clubs exactly as they are and will not let you change putters between bags. They don’t understand that putter designs are very personal to each golfer and all putters essentially cost the same, so it’s not like I would be using a more expensive putter in a cheaper rental bag. I was renting the most expensive clubs and was not allowed to choose my putter from another cheaper rental bag. Their reason not to let you switch between rental bags is that they “CAME” with that bag. Switching putters between rental bags was NOT allowed under any circumstances…Maybe they need a manager that really plays golf to explain to them about how putting is where you score well and a specific putter makes a BIG difference. The course and the caddy’s were great. I just wish I wasn’t stuck with a putter that I wasn’t comfortable with. It ruined the entire round.

  10. Greens terrible condition and bunkers all should be GUR but none were and charged 4500 baht to play a course in such condition it terrible.Caddy was good needs to learn after being told 100 times will line up my own puts. Course over all is great but these conditions don’t warrant green fee of over £100Won’t be back 3/10
