Could not recommend Castaway Divers enough! Just want to say a huge thank you to the whole team for making us feel so welcomed and a part of the family and especially to Tos for sorting us out, we didn’t have to worry about a thing.Me and my friend completed our open water course instructed by Paul and with the help of Serge. We had never dived before and Paul was so helpful, patient, and calmed you in the water. We were so lucky to have Serge too, he checked on us and stayed with one of us whilst the other was completing their skills. Both were professional, funny, and made sure your safety was their number one priority. We had the best time here and feel so lucky to have been a part of castaway divers for a few wonderful days. If you’re thinking about doing your open water but are maybe unsure, this is the place to try it out. The best team, captain of the boat, and an amazing underwater world!We will definitely be continuing diving and hopefully in the future be able to return to Castaway Divers! Travelled to Lipe with my parents, my Mom is (reaching 70) loves to snorkel, so we thought why not she tries out scuba diving. So we reached out to Cast away divers being one of the most experienced in Lipe (and also my Wife’s recommendation). Tos the manager was very responsive and answered all my queries promptly, so I went ahead and booked discover scuba dive session for Mom. And it turned out to be the best decision. The dive center is right on the beach, with a nice patio to engage and discuss with the team. Tos the manager was very friendly and relaxed, and took all our stress away. He just made us feel part of the family, he even spend time with my Dad as well to put him at ease. My initial plan was to dive with my Mom, however due to catching a nasty cough during my travel I had drop the idea, however I had planned to take GoPro video to capture the experience and I was a little sad, when I mentioned the same to Tos he just put us at ease and said one more team member will join and take the video. We were super lucky to have Hiromi as the DM for my Mom, she was extremely experienced and very patient with my Mom, it gave her the required confidence that she can do it. She made the process easy, took her through the basics in the dive center and then two dives – first session in front of the dive center and second in Koh Adang. Given that my Mom is not so strong to manage the equipment’s, Hiromi did all the heavy lifting along with Bobby who went to capture video, we just cannot be more grateful to both of them. Thanks to Hiromi my Mom could do the dives and thoroughly enjoyed the sessions, it was a dream come true for her. And Bobby was super nice to take very good videos of the sessions in our GoPro, thanks to you this will remain in our memory for ever. For the second dive Tos offered that both my Dad and I could go on the boat to Koh Adang to accompany my Mom, we were very happy to join, I even did snorkeling (with equipments from caste away). Koh Adang was beautiful with abundant coral reef right off the beach, could not have asked for a better location. We had such a wonderful time in Cast Away divers with Tos, Hiromi and Bobby. The care and hospitality was beyond what we could imagine. In addition to this there were no charges for both me and my Dad joining the boat ride/snorkel, no additional charge for one more person going out to take video, these gestures are unthinkable at any other place that we have been across south east asia. This by far has been our best experience as a family on any of our beach holidays. Hence to Tos, Hiromi and Bobby a big thank you from my Mom and Dad, you all are genuinely the best we could ask for, you took care of us like a family, our very best wishes are with you.
Tos and Castaways took such incredible care of our family, it was our 3 kids first time diving! They were so patient and flexible.Tos has created an environment of caring for anyone who dives with them and passion about teaching. He is the best… we went back for a second dive and to hang out. Castaway Divers was the perfect base for our family’s underwater journey. The team is amazing, a passionate group of scuba divers from all over Asia and Europe. We could tell that everyone including their new Thai manager Tos gave their best to create a wonderful experience. We booked PADI Open Water courses for our teenagers, refreshers + fun dives for us parents and ultimately got the whole family under water – surrounded by coral, tropical fish and all kinds of critters we hadn’t even expected to see. We logged 42 dives with Castaway between the four of us and would go back tomorrow. Castaway Divers were super well organized, taking extra care to be plastic free (eg supplying reusable water bottles and filtered water plus a la carte packed lunches from the resort kitchen). We dove at plenty of sites around the archipelago, with lunch stops at National Park beaches made possible by beaching their long-tail boats. We certainly didn’t envy the divers on the big boats, even when high winds on one day made the trip feel a little adventurous. The dive shop is located right on the beach, a great place to unwind and have a coffee while logging your dives. 5 stars all the way. My only regret is not having brought a U/W camera!
I did not dive with Castaway Divers, but I should have. What an awesome dive shop. My dive computer battery was dead and we stopped at this dive shop to see if they had a new battery I could buy. Not only did they give me a battery, but they wouldn’t let me pay for it and took the time to change it for me. They took such great care to change it so meticulously and did an amazing job. Without a doubt, the kindest person we met in Thailand. Will definitely dive here if I ever come back.
I brought my friends from korea to here again. Last time we were here in 2015, thisntime we did advance open water course. It was a wonderful trip ever! We have a great time and nice hospitility. Staff also are friendly and good take care.I highly recommend Castaway for anyone interested in taking a dive course. The combination of knowledgeable instructors, comprehensive curriculum, emphasis on safety, and excellent facilities made for an outstanding learning experience. I feel confident and excited to continue exploring the underwater world thanks to this course.

The best experience ever! Castaway Divers Center in Koh Lipe is simply amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly, calm, and relaxed, always providing all the information you need before, during, and after the dive. Their attention to detail is top-notch, and they offer great service, including a delicious lunch. Everything was spectacular! I highly recommend them 100%, and we will definitely be back next year. In short, they have the best instructors!
I successfully completed my Advanced Open Water course with Castaway Divers. In the beginning I was quite nervous but Tos is a relaxed dive instructor and he helped me calm down. He helped me a lot to improve my buoyancy and explained everything very calmly. At Castaway Divers they know what they are doing and they are well equipped with decent diving materials! All in all it was a great experience for me!
Together with my wife we dived with Castaway Divers in Nov 2024. I went for 6 dives and my wife went for 4 dives.In general, I like this Castaway Dives as they pay a very high focus on our safety. The weather is not so good when we were there. The DM decided to change to another dive site when we arrived due to bad weather condition. They will not risk the safety of the divers. The dive shop split the divers into few small groups and they always come with 2 DM per group to ensure the safety of the divers.The rental equipment is also been well maintained and in good condition.The boat is a bit old fashion long tail boat and something new to experience.Highly recommended to dive with Castaway Divers.
