It was a really good day, BBQ dinner with chicken and salads! Good snorkeling and the glowing plankton is really cool! A trip u should definitely go on! Highly recommended
Yes, you can see the bioluminescent plankton and it’s awesome 😉 ! I only regret that I haven’t bought new camera (I have an old GoPro 3) before the trip, because all my videos are completely dark. It’s a great experience, a must see on Koh Lipe. Although you can see the plankton if you just go swimming/snorkeling after sunset anywhere around Koh Lipe, this tour is a great option, as first, you have an opportunity to snorkel in few more places (Jabang and others) and then have a BBQ while watching sunset from the beach at Koh Adang.Notes:* guide does not speak English very well, but that’s not really an issue* BBQ is just pieces of chicken breast + salad/tomato/cucumber, watermelon is serverd after* water is served from the tank, not bottles, kind of weird but ok
We booked our plankton and sunset trip online through Paradise Tours website.Everything was smoothly organised and the trip was the highlight of our holidays.Highly recommended !
Use a different guide service for snorkeling in Koh Lipe. We signed up online two weeks in advance to do the Far Island snorkeling trip on 4/15/18 and communicated via email to confirm our booking with a guy named Max. We showed up at the shop on the walking street at 8:35 (our meeting time was 8:45) as instructed by our booking email, and no one ever showed up. The shop was completely closed. We, along with another couple who had booked online, tried calling and emailing the company as we waited for about 45 minutes. We came back to the shop at 10:30 to see if anyone was there to discuss our tour, and the shop was still closed. Still have not received any communication from the company. They took our money and wasted our time. Don’t use them.
We arrived at Paradise Tours & purchased a snorkel trip (with dated receipt) for the following day. The man we purchased from, presumably the owner, stopped mid-tattoo to help us & was neither overly friendly nor very helpful. He casually smoked his cigarette while gruffly answering our questions about the trip. Very short with any reply. Not to mention we were told no fins provided/allowed – a huge piece of snorkeling if you ask us! At this point, I hesitated to book but it had come recommended by another well known company who had had no availability. When we showed up at the time we were asked to, the owner (or person we purchased from) was not there & other staff acted like we had 10 heads, saying there was no way we were going on a tour. We showed our receipt & they were baffled. Told us no luck & sent us on our way. We emailed the same day with no response & showed up first thing the following morning to find the shop open but no one around to speak to. We wound up having to extend our stay & spend a good portion of it trying to arrange stay and try to find a similar tour, losing out on a night elsewhere as we’d missed the boat off island. Tried twice 4/14 to return to speak with someone & receive a refund with no luck. ?
Went out for a couple of weeks with some friends, it really was incredible!!! The staff were so friendly and approachable, they really are so eco friendly and really take pride in what they do!!! I couldn’t recommend them enough!!! Thank you all so much! Very happy customers!
I booked a trip for my Mum on her honeymoon and Louise couldn’t have been more helpful, really accommodated what I was looking for.
We did the afternoon eco snorkelling tour. Our guides Tan and Rise were fantastic and amazing with our two kids (10 & 14). They took a lot of care to make sure everyone was comfortable and pointed out many things we wouldn’t have seen on our own. The afternoon tour allowed us to visit places after the crowds had left and each spot we went to was varied and interesting. Thank you Tan, Rise and Papa we had a fantastic afternoon!
A beautiful small island located quite far from mainland. It’s really beautiful place to spend there. It took 2.5 hours by speed boat to go there but worth it .
Took 2 snorkeling tours. Very well priced for the amount of stops made. The experience can all depend on which longboat driver you get. Overall a great experience and would recommend
