  1. Our guide Alex was excellent , he answered all our questions. It’s amazing to see how elephants are protected and loved. I recommend to do this tour, they picked us up from the hotel and explained all about the elephants’ lives . Thanks Alex for this special day

  2. We had a fantastic day at Lanna!! The tour guide, Pooh, picked us up right at our hotel. We spent the car ride asking him LOTS of questions about the elephants and the sanctuary and he was happy to answer them all! He was very kind and informative. The experience with the elephants was perfect. We got to feed them, bathe them, and walk with them. The sanctuary doesn’t force the elephants to do anything, so if the elephants didn’t want to be near you, they would just walk away. It was nice to see that the elephants are treated very well and not forced to do anything. It was one of our group member’s birthdays on the day we visited. We let the staff at Lanna know ahead of time, and they bought her a little cake!! We had a fantastic trip, would highly recommend!!

  3. This was a AMAZING adventure, from the ride to the tour guide. The Mahouts were knowledgeable and very kind to the elephants. It is a whole day outing, that leaves you feeling magical.

  4. This was one of the most unforgettable experiences I think we’ll ever have. We were the only visitors, being low season, but our guide explained that visitors are limited even in high season. We spent the afternoon walking, feeding and bathing the most gentle rescued elephants and learning about their experiences in captivity. The team take amazing round the clock care, worth every penny to give these amazing creatures safe.

  5. I went to this supposedly “ethical sanctuary,” where the elephants should be living happily and freely, and I’ve found all the animals left alone chained with short chains under the sun, clearly suffering, surrounded by their own poop, without any kind of water or food… TERRIBLE!

  6. The full day tour to Lana Elephant Sanctuary was the best travel experience I have ever had. The driver, the tour guide and magouts were amazing. The elephants each had their own personality and were respected and loved.I cannot believe I was able to feed, touch and bathe an elephant. I cannot say enough about our tour guide and driver who made this trip spectacular. If you come to Thailand please come to this sanctuary for elephants who are rescued from the circus, logging and abuse.

  7. My partner and I had a wonderful experience at Lanna Kingdom Elephant Sanctuary. We could tell that the elephants were treated with love and care with an abundant amount of land to roam. Our guide, Alex, and the sanctuary keepers were very knowledgeable and provided a very unique experience for my partner and I. We interacted and fed the elephants bananas (their favorite treat), made vitamins for them (and also fed them), as well as bathing an elephant. The sanctuary even provided us some scrumptious pad thai and desserts after our experience. Each elephant came from a difficult past but has found peace at this sanctuary. I hope that there is more awareness brought to this sanctuary and their devotion to their elephants. I learned that the only way elephants can be rescued is if the sanctuary can afford to buy them from captivity. So please, if anyone visits, I implore you to shed a bit of generosity and donate what you can (whether monetarily or via 5-star reviews) so that this sanctuary can continue doing what they do best for more rescued elephants.

  8. We visited Lanna Kingdom Elephant Sanctuary in November 2024 as part of the LK06 tours by Lanna Kingdom. The sanctuary is well-maintained and takes great care of the gentle giants. Our guide, Arm, informed us about the age, weight, nature, and where each elephant was rescued from. We enjoyed preparing food for the elephants and also bathing them. The Sanctuary itself is very well maintained. Please do visit the sanctuary. I will recommend clubbing it with a full-day tour. The overall experience was memorable

  9. Amazing tour, did the full day option. Feeding and walking and bathing elephants was amazing!! The tour was a little late picking us up in the morning and was not the most communicative before hand about pick up, but turned it around the rest of the day. We would highly recommend.

  10. One of the best experiences of my life. Alex, our tour guide, was outstanding and the rest of the staff were wonderful as well! I especially enjoyed Bee. Everyone helped take pictures of all participants with the elephants. Elephants were not forced to do anything. It was safe and so much fun! If you plan on going to Chiang Mai, this is a bucket list item!
