Prasae Sin Bridge is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking 21170, Thailand
The Prasae Sin Bridge is located near where the Prasae River empties into the Gulf of Thailand. It was completed and opened just a few months ago.It is about three kilometers long. Starting at the western end, the low levels of the bridge take you across estuary mangrove swamps, until you arrive at the Prasae River, when the bridge arches over it, only to continue at lower levels on the eastern side over more mangrove swamps. It is the gateway to many interesting attractions in the Pak Nam Prasae district of Klaeng, such as the Shrine of the Prince of Chumporn, and the HTMS Prasae ship memorial, among others. But it is interesting in its own right. On both sides of this wide bridge there are red lanes where you can stop and park (preferably with your warning blinkers on), get our of the car, and look at the river, the estuary and the village communities clustered on the riverbanks upstream. It is an insight into the everyday life of ordinary Thai people.
From the bridge you get a very good view of life on the bank of the estuary and sight of many of the anchored local squid boats which are the brightly-lit objects on the horizon at night.
Great views from this long bridge. When we were there, traffic was light and we were able to stop on the top of the bridge, take photos, and enjoy the view. Wonderful stop.
