This place is being recommended by our driver, when we on the way driving out of Sukhothai City. It is located near the stadium TalayLuang and all the way projected out to the centre of the lake. It is a man-made land being shaped in Heart Shape from the bird eye view and a temple stood in the centre of the heart.
as a local: talay luang is man-made from the waters of the mae nam yom river not all that far away, the lake is shallow, at most 2 meters ; it is not small; there is a road around the lake ; 15 km in total; inside the heart ; an isthmus island, there is another small paved road; aside from the stadium on the way in there is nothing commercial around; no restaurants; imo, the best way to enjoy the heart is to make it a picnic; bring your own and sit under waterside trees and enjoy the views and the quiet;there is fishing to be had on the lake but it is illegal on the heart; pity tho many fisherman leave their garbage around which will put off some
A recreational oasis north of the center of Sukothai! The place was still dominated by the New Year’s Eve celebrations. The park was probably created on the recommendation of Rama IX. The pagoda (closed) probably houses a shrine of an old Sukothai ruler.
