A GREAT, safe driver named Kung, at [email protected], 089 853 2627. In the 10 years I have lived in Thailand, Kung is by far the BEST driver I have ever had. He took us to the Black House, Quan Yin on the mountain, and te Blue Temple, then to a GREAT kunch at Charin Restaurant, which has the BEST desserts you will find anywhere, but lunch is not inckuded in the price, but VERY reasonable.
It’s massive you can’t miss it while driving through Chang Rai – few places you can stop and take some photos.Lots to see and do in the area and this is one of them.
We visited during a 3 day tour of the far North and this was an unscheduled visit but really interesting. We went up in the lift and the local guide in the room told our guide the meaning of the story of the carvings in the wall. Beautifully presented. We then visited the temple to the side area, again worthwhile to see.
