  1. You won’t find any dusty pots or Buddha images in this relatively new (opened 2011) museum, but you will learn a lot about the history and development of Lampang. The displays with Thai and English explanations are excellent and you’ll leave with a good knowledge of the teak industry, transportation, local culture and the war years. The museum is located at the Clock Tower intersection a short walk from many riverside guest houses along Talad Gow Road and is open 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday through Friday with free admission.Just behind the museum on Thakhrao Road is the Tourist Information Center where very helpful staff will provide you with maps and brochures.

  2. Visiting this local culture museum, I realized how important my hometown history and ldaily life of local people in the past and present . It’s very relaxed in weekend esp.Sunday. if have time, you should stop and check out this museum.

  3. Living in Lampang, I found the museum a lovely walk down memory lane. Videos, and pictures enlightened me to the culture of the plane in which I live. My daughter loved reading about the local history.
