  1. This is an old house donated to university architecture department. They restored it and maintain it as an exhibition space for Lannai architecture. It’s really very charming, worth the two minutes step off the beaten path. There’s also a lovely little cafe in the grounds run by an ex-architecture student who really knows her coffee and tea. A little oasis of charm, air-conditioning and delicious coffee and cakes.

  2. This is a colonial house built in 1896 by a British merchant. It is made of stone and timber for the upper floor. Currently it houses an exhibition of the Government’s efforts to preserve Lanna buildings in the city. Worth a look if you’re in the area.
