Not enough power point. For that room rate should provide at least 2 pillows. Air conditioning good. Water pressure low. Very difficult to flush maybe due to the low water pressure. Buffet breakfast spread can improve.
I was to stay at Tinidee Hotel so i checked Tinidee hot spings as well, and used google translate to read the below review in Thai which gave me the impression that this was kinda onsen as you could find in Japan or China with good service. So i came. However upon arrival, i found it was just several ourdoor pools isolated in the Rakswarin hot spring park by 2 check points at each end, and when I tried to enter the “Tinidee Hot Springs”, the young man at the entrance refused me even without checking my ticket. After i showed him the ticket from the hotel, he let me in reluctantly. Where were the amenities mentioned in the Thai review? Changing room: Some shacks near the entrance (with mirror and lock on the door fortunately); Shower room? over there. Some shacks near the other side (without a top unfortuately and someone in the park was even flying the drone…..). A bottle of water? non, just a water dispenser and some tiny paper cups. Towel and locker? They’d give you if you requested (and i guess the staff were wondering how I got to know about all these). Shampoo in the shower room? The first shower room I entered had none, because the rack for the shampoo containers was broken. So when i asked for it the young man took out 2 plastic drum and added the shampoo to the containers in other shower rooms. (So is that Thai reviewer from the management group?)The hot spings themselves were good ( i love every one in the world), so althought the atmosphere was far away from my imagination and i kind of made a spot of myself because of the swimsuit I was wearing (the local ladies were all in daily clothes……), i just settled down to enjoy it (they even have wifi on site). But unfortunately a big thunderstorm came in the later afternoon and the staff here just folded the sunshades under which we should have been able to hide ourselves from the downpour……Then when i finally came out of this place to wait for my diver to pick me up, I suddenly noticed a hotspring spa right on the opposite side of the road. I guess there should have been the place where I meant to be….
Nice place to visit if you’re in Ranong and have the time. You can use most of the pools for free or pay 40 baht for some more private pools, plus they give a free towel. Lot’s of places to eat in the immediate area, some great Som Tom restaurants down by the river, more conventional restaurants on the road. Showers are free, those in the pay area have soap, everything is quite clean, pools vary in temperature.
