Natural History Museum is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Khon Kaen University, 40002, Thailand
Since this is dinosaur country in Thailand I had great expectation of setting bones or skeletons, but just s hand full of animated reconstructions are visible. Obviously I was the first US tourist to make it there and the are barely any explanations in english. The content is light but nicely presented, and what they don’t have they make up for by kind and gentle exhibits, so pretty much a 2 for content but a 5 for efforts.
Beautiful new museum with many interesting exhibits. All of the information at the exhibits are written in Thai so it is best to tour this museum with somebody who can read Thai if it is not your primary language.
This museum is located in Khon Kaen university. Many things to study in various period of ancient times. Students are suggested to visit the museum.
If you interested on nature you are right here. But all complete in Thai. But its really interesting to visit. We spent around 2 hours in this Museum. But the place is another. You have to go to Khon Kaen University, there you will find it.
Nice presentation here but there is no explanation in English. Starting with the history of royal projects dedicated to forestry in the region, the museum covers geology, biology, nature history.
