Wild Asia Chiang Mai is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Thailand
A very commercial show. You pay 300b each and you will see a show of about 20 minutes. A trainer is doing all kind of tricks with the crocodiles, like rolling, putting is hand in its throat and his head in between its jaws. Afterwards you are invited to sit on one of these amazing animals yourselves. It is fun, but we were under the impression that these animals were sedated. They were kind of too tranquil.

I stopped here on my tour around the Mae Rim animal tourist circuit. It’s 300 baht for a 20 minute show. They have two pools of crocodiles. One with small and large. Overall the facility is alright and seems adequate for the animals but I wouldn’t be surprised if they were given something to make them calmer. The show was fun, with a couple of guys doing various tricks and fun things with the crocs.What was off putting was the series of skins on the walls and a table of skulls drying in the sun. It makes me wonder what they’re doing with the animals when they have no use for them. I guess it’s a side business as they likely don’t make enough money just from the shows in the off season (when I was there).
I love that experience, after a few days in a wild go to this village it was a major surprise. Specially when we can see the long neck tribes and the tradtional costumes they use. Amazing silver art works
