Khu Ba Si Wichai Monument is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Si Wichai Road. Suthep Subdistrict, Thailand
The Khu Ba Si Monument is a must for Thai tourists to Chiangmai but for all othersit is also an interesting place of religious pilgramage. At the foot of the Suthep mountaininstead of passing it on the way to Wat Doi Suthep stop and take a look. At the back, furthest from the road is a pathway leading into a natural area with a waterfall too.
Kruba Srivichai Statue stands at this Monument and many local Thais will pray for safety and protection. Its located at the Foot of Wat Pratat Doi Suthep. You will feel a relief of somewhat of comfort after making some joss stick offerings. You will definately feel better after praying to Kruba Srivichai.
This monument is dedicated to a well respected local monk who lived about 100 years ago. Apparently many locals stop to pay respect, but as foreigner I saw this as ‘yet another monument’
Go up to pay homage to Phra That Doi Suthep first. When going down, stop by to pay homage to Phra Kruba Sriwichai. There is convenient parking. Went to buy a worship set. Then come and pay homage to him.
