Khao Kho Sacrificial Monument is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Thungsamo subdistrict, Thailand
The museum is about the military base on khao Kho, the weapon, the soldiers who were sacrificed themselves for their motherland. They displayed the weapon, uniforms, vehicles that were used during the war. Another nice spot to visit for children too.
A small but interesting museum showing what it was like when the Thai army was fighting the Communist insurgents. Found out that my father in law fought in the area with the Thai army all those years ago. Admission was only 10 baht so well worth a look if you’re into history.
It is small but quite interesting if you never see any kind of the army vehicles, they is also a room to display the army weapon & uniforms. You may only spent 10-15mins walking around as the compound is not big.The entrance is cheap. Only 10bath.
10 baht per pax for entrance. Small place with interesting vehicles and weapons used. If you are into history and wish to know more about the fight in khao kho, worth a visit. They even play video at certain timings. Great view right outside the museum too!
View from here is great and they had many different pieces of military equipment on display each explaining the history of each piece worth the visit
Quiet spot on a hill will the monument showing the names all the lost soldiers, didn’t go in to see the rest. Coming just for the view alone on the hill was breath taking enough.
A long steep road to get there but worth it when you do, spectacular views and interesting displays.

Don’t get confused, there is the Weapon Museum พิพิธภัณฑ์อาวุธ, then about 1 kilometre further along the road is the Khao Kho Memorial อนุสาวรีย์ผู้เสียสละ เขาค้อ. The Memorial is very tall and underneath are the names of those who died. There are covered seat areas to enjoy the quiet and views. At the other end is a basic weapon pit layout but no museum. From this point are good views of the valley below.
A historical place where good for everyone specially the children. People can learn by themselves through their eyes and underatand how difficulty and sadness in the past.
