Beatiful pleace to stay with cool air and local food. Other benefit is very low cost to stay and eat.
Absolutely not what I was expecting! A modern building that wouldn’t look out of place in a european private estate. Open to the public to walk around the estate but no entry to the building with no fee when there is no royalty in residence, guarded by the army as one would expect. Right smack in the middle is a massive radio tower which runs in line with the King keeping communication with all the law enforcement. Beautiful gardens with flowers and pine trees galore but not the palace I was expecting..
A friend told me about this place, so I thought we’d check it out. Not what I would consider a palace. More like government buildings, but beautiful views. Was worth the short drive off the main road.
I’ve seen nicer looking townhouses in Canada. Not worth the drive up. But – do try the local stawberries Tastiest in the world.
Its just a house not a palace. even the gardens are boring. Not worth the effort and terrible toilets.
Not a good Palace to tour. Older and needs maintenance. May have great views however we visited during a thunder storm, Low cloud and no views ?.Parking is about 100 metres from the place so don’t visit on a rainy day?
This was a place where Thai Royal Family used to live to ease the fighting problems. Now it turns to be a memorial location where we can enjoy a cool and cosy atmosphere.
It is a pity the actual palace and grounds are not open to the public. The area that is open has gardens in the pine forest and views of the valley below. There is a coffee shop. Serious smoke haze late February to early May.
