  1. Many people know Wat Si Goet for its relatively famous Massage School, but for me the main attraction is the massive pho tree in front of the temple. Stop by and be amazed!! So huge that it requires multiple steel supports to prop it up. Also, nearby is a fascinating “cannonball tree”. Also cool for any nature lover. The temple itself is not particuarly noteworthy, but the trees are worth a quick stop.

  2. Went there because they have a massage place outside the wat, where you can receive bamboo massage. And the prices are cheap there. The wat itself is nice.

  3. You can buy a painting or have a massage here or just wonder around. There’s a lot of interesting features to see including the remarkable cannonball tree in the centre of the temple. I counted nearly a hundred cannonballs on the tree any one of which could kill you if you got caught under a falling one. The tree is revered by Buddhists as it is frequently mentioned in the scriptures and is often found in temples but this was a memorable example.

  4. Every time I’m in Chiang Mai and have the chance, I drop by this temple, just off the road used for the Sunday Market, just to see the huge peeple tree in the temple grounds. Worth a few minutes to be awed!

  5. Well worth a visit as it is just more than a Wat, there are various stalls in the grounds selling food and massages.

  6. a nice white temple with gold borders. the architecture and designs on the walls of the temple are all well done. inside the compound it is clean calm and peaceful and a few monks sitting and reading. not too many tourist.

  7. Nice temple with plenty of shade. There’s a nice mobile cafe on the grounds with iced coffee (50 Baht) and seating. Nice place to chill out

  8. Stop by if you’re in the area. The Buddha image is on the governments list of protected Buddha images. The grounds could use a good cleaning!

  9. There is a a sign for Republic coffee on the grounds, buy I did not see the cafe itself.there is a massage course, a couple of shops and a Tarot reader as well You can stop by this Temple if you are on the Rachadmnoen street.

  10. Wats wouldn’t seem to be a place for young children; however, my kids liked them because there was ample space to run around and be free. They liked the open space and even admired some of the beautiful architecture. We actually saw this area as a nice way to enjoy some of the Night Market food without being crushed by the crowds.
