Prang Khaek is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Prang Sam Yot Road at Sura Songkhram Road Tha Hin, Thailand
It is in a rather odd location in the middle of the town but since you are already in Lopburi probably to see the ancient temples and they are so near each other, why not? Will probably take five minutes to take some pictures.
It is difficult how this oldest of temples, former shrine and ambassadors’ residence ended up in such a bad location on a small intersection surrounded by traffic. Worth a look if you are passing by but not worth making a specific trip for.
Situated in the center from the City. Not so interesting site but ok to see take you only 10 min. Go and see.
Of all the ancient ruins you will stumble across in your exploration of Lop Buri, this is one of the oldest.It was originally a Hindu sanctuary dating back to the 10th century, when Lop Buri was in transition from Indian influence to coming under the early suzerainty of the Khmer Empire. Much later, King Narai the Great, the king of Ayutthaya, added to it, but now it is all in ruins, although if you use your imagination you can picture what it might have looked like between 1000 to 400 years ago.Although it is a small site, it is worth visiting because of its historical importance.Warning: This site is an island in the middle of intersecting streets. Be careful how you cross the road.
This ancient ruin has long history since early Thai historical periods.It was build by Khmer empire while they ruled this regions.Sadly it has not much evidence left though it is one of important archaeology in the country.Just a quick look stop and beware the local monkey.
Small temple at the centre of a traffic intersection, it is on your way to other tourist attraction so worth a quick look. In another context this would probably be a main attraction, but with so much heritage in Lopburi, this pass quite unnoticed.
Though smaller in size than “Prang Sam-Yod” known as Monkey temple, but I found it attractive to see the ancient civilization amidst the present town of Lopburi where it’s people live an every day life. It’s much more pleasant to walk around cuz there are no monkeys to bother you , thus much more cleanliness and hygenic. Take a walk on the island in tge niddle of tge road. It ‘s onky take 5 minutes of your time!

Sandwiched between two streets near the market. If you are visiting The Samdet Phrai Narai National Museum in Lopburi just walk out along the road and visit this place.
Prang Kraek is one of the oldest Khmyr/Hindu shrine to be found in Central Thailand and it was restored by King Narai in the 17th century, and more recently by the Fine Arts Department. It consists of 3 prangs or spires without adjoining corridors.
