Mae Hong Son Walking Street Night Market is perched on a picturesque hilltop overlooking Nong Chong Cham Lake Road, 58000, Thailand
The night market starts at the main road going through town and goes to and around the lake. It’s a very relaxed place and sells lots of different foods clothes souvenirs etc. definatly worth visiting.
Probably the most quaint and certainly the quietest walking street we have been to. Plenty of tasty food stalls at very cheap prices. Well worth a visit.
A peaceful and quiet provincial city of Mae Hong Son. Don’t expect much activities in this little town located 6 hours mountains ride from Chiang Mai. A place for relaxing, hiking (to Doi Kongmu), enjoy beautiful scenic view, have a cup of nice coffee at boutique café, experience the simple local life styles. Can take minivan from Chiang Mai Arcade Bus Terminal B250 or from Pai. Bus terminal at Mae Hong Son is just less than 2km from Wat Chong Khan.
Nice market had a lot of hand made items . Some clothing shops . Street food definitely ! There’s a local joint called beer garden . Beer is cheap and locals are friendly
I must have visited the market every evening I was in Mae Hong Son. Super selection of freshly cooked food and you can sit by the lake as you eat it. Lots of local crafts and goods too. Doesn’t have a touristy feel as most of the people there are Thai. Highly recommended
this market is not open all year but is at its busiest November to end Jan.many stalls selling local handicrafts and street food.also a great place for a foot massage after a days sightseeing
Market is moved to a new location which is near the city hall.Probably the lake is under maintenance. The new location might be only temporary. As far as i know, i will be a new location until mid 2022 at least.Better check again when you arrive.
A lovely market to wander around, great variety of food, souvenirs and clothing and very cheap prices. Had a wonderfulFoot massage too.
Very nice night market to walk around. Best to avoid the public toilets, though. In the end we should’ve eaten here instead of Baan Fern, which was very disappointing.
We were in Mae Hong Son for 3 nights and every night we would go and feast of the beautiful and unusual street food.Anything and everything you could want and fell in love with the crickets done in Kaffir Lime leaves sold by a girl outside the temple.Bustling streets but not unbearably so.Hmong handy crafts, jewellery, clothing and just a great atmosphere.Bought enough food for 3 of us for under $10 AUD.Pad Thai $2,squid balls $1.50,sushi 30c and less, spring rolls 30c.Its on the lake with all the lights and the monks playing instruments in the temple.Magical atmosphere.A must in Mae Hong Son
