Not my place. BUT I understand that given Phuket airport is smaller and also people may not have much time inside for shopping, this is expended and off site big duty free airport shop. If you buy something you pick up from airport. Local section is there too but only at airport quality and airport price. So, no local shopping here – extended airport shopping .. be in Singapore, Seoul and Tokyo airport shopping galleries you get get same idea.
I had to provide my passport a couple of times, wait over 10 minutes and sign a docket to buy a pack of gum for 180 Bart (£4.50)Everything is over priced and the service is terrible. I would avoid if you can, one star is already generous!
Beautiful mall. Took as 20 minutes to check in as it is a duty free mall. Crazy pricing. My wife looked at clothes. I looked at scotch. Friends looked at jewelry. Prices were really high. What they don’t charge in duty they make up for in margin. Time to check in. 20 minutes. Time to shop the entire mall and purchase nothing. 12 minutes. Save yourself the time. Go to the beach. Below is an example of the price of a T-shirt990 THB which is $39 Canadian or $30 US
It was the first time in my life seeing SOOOOO many travel buses stop at the same tourist place-King Power in Phuket. I think the time when I visited it, there were about 200 buses there. Majority tourist from China. It has very majestic outlook with whales sculpture in front of the entrance of the mall. Shopping in the mall is comfortable but the price is not at bargain. I bought something in this “duty free” place but then found that I can buy it same price or even cheaper in Phuket town. If you want to purchase in the mall, first, you have to register yourself at the registration counter (at the right side of the entrance). You have to show them your passport and departure flight number. Once you have registered, then you can start to shop there. There are two types of price tags there. White one is tax free. If you buy the products with white tags, it is tax free and you only can claim the product in the airport. If you buy the one with blue tags-7% tax is included in the price. You can claim back the 7% tax at the VAT counter near exist 3 of the mall, with the condition minimum purchase of BTH2,000. You can bring the product back with you immediately after your purchase.
Congested with bus loads of Chinese tourists. I find the prices are n way cheaper than the malls or outlet center. Staff are polite. You must register at reception (make sure to bring your passport or a photo of it). Its easy to find and offers ample parking for bikes and cars but when I showed up in the late afternoon there were about 8 coach tourist buses. The facility over all is very well maintained and spotless. Food court and Thai souvenir shop upstairs is worth the visit. Also remember an exit ticket will be required and items will be available at the international airport where you will depart Thailand, no land or sea option. The only goods available to take off the premises are thai souvenir from the upstairs shops.
This is a duty free shop. I won’t do a full review as others have covered the concept well elsewhere, but essentially you have to register with passport and international flight details to get a card to do shopping. Certain items, if bought, are delivered to the airside after the airport for collection. Inside is pristine and carries the brands the coach loads of shoppers are looking for. The have a good range of top end watch brands for sale. Staff do not know the brands or product features, prices are high but then typically discounted by 20% ( the Vat) and the range available to buy is limited by the usual supply issues. Not really worth the hassle especially when you factor in the risk that the goods can’t be inspected before you accept them, the item may not make it to the airport for you to collect.
It is very expensive and as living in Phuket cannot buy as it duty free policy surprised about this as told by staff. Liked few things but could not buy them I think it is not organised or staff is not aware of the sale policy
It’s not really a tax-free shopping centre. Most of the goods have tax added to them, then you have to go refund them in a massive ball ache process. Some of the goods you can’t even take home with you, the shopping centre instead insists on sending them to your hotel. Why would I bother with that? I can just buy these same goods on Lazada without having to take a trip to some clinical looking mall with only one cafe, which ran out of milk at 2 in the afternoon despite the mall being basically empty thanks to covid.
Watch out – much more expensive than uk high st. I have just checked and seen I paid £35 more for ester Lauder products than from the company itself in uk. Total rip off.
Me and my family stay in cassia phuket very nice hotel and very friendly staff ,Yuki, mussy, ploy, eddy was very helpful . you should come stay in cassia
