Shirts look very used after a couple of usings… The material seems not to be a very good quality. The suits are ok. But all in all it is not the quality I was expecting for that price.
Our taxi driver took us to Manhattan Tailors. Sam and his staff were very polite and helpful and definitely not pushy. My husband had a suit, 5 shirts and a pair of slacks made. I had two Thai silk blouses and a soft silk dress. They are a bit pricey, but definitely worth the money. Good things no cheap, cheap things no good. They gave me good honest advice re my clothes. I will recommend them to family n friends.
They changed the fabric we order for 2 tuxedos. Delivered a different and large model and try to make fit with terrible alterations. We made the mistake to pay in advance and to follow the taxi driver reccomendation.
Our taxi driver took us to manhattan tailors and I was duly measured by mr sunny. I chose two dresses one silk and one chiffon. To save me driving all the way back to Phuket town sunny came to my hotel in nai yang, he did a fitting made a few changes for me. He brought the dresses back to the hotel when they were finished, they were a bit big tho but I put that down to me losing some weight in between measurements and fitting! Yay…he happily took the dresses away again to make the alterations and I was so impressed with the dresses I ordered a third one… not cheap but gorgeous dresses. I’m so happy with them and I would definitely recommend manhattan to anyone looking for a tailor in Phuket. I’m going home with three gorgeous dresses.
We visited Manhattan Custom Taylors in 2010 and had a suit, shirts, jacket and a dress made. I contacted them recently from Australia to get another suit made. The service is amazing, very professional. The suit fits like a glove and was made and sent to Australia very efficiently. The material is good quality and is made very well. My husband and I visited this store while in Phuket town for the day. We found the store on Trip Advisor – there were mixed reviews but we decided to give them a go based on the good reviews we had read. I’m so glad we did. On our entrance we were greeted by a friendly man named Sam, and we were soon joined by one of his colleagues. Initially we were just wanting to get my husband some dress shirts made for work. Sam talked us through the different types of fabric he had on offer and we discussed a plan that would work within our budget. My husband brought a shirt along with him from home to base the new shirts on, so no measurements needed to be taken. While we were in the store I decided that I would like a dress. A very kind man (I didn’t catch his name) drew a dress style he thought would look nice on me based on my height, body shape and dress sense, and he also recommended some nice Thai silk fabric. The design he drew was very similar to the style of dress I like to wear. I then chose my favourite colour and that was that. We arranged to have our clothes delivered to our resort (one whole hours’ drive from the store!) less than 48 hours after we ordered them, and they arrived bang on time. My husband’s shirts were perfect but my dress was a little bit too big. The driver called the shop owner and without hesitation he advised us to pin the dress, send it back with the driver for altering, and then he met us at the airport with the altered dress only a couple of hours later, before our flight home. The dress now fits perfectly and I couldn’t be happier. All in all a positive experience. These guys are more expensive than other tailors around Thailand, but they are honest, professional, punctual and reliable and the quality of their clothing and service speaks for itself. You really do get what you pay for. Thanks for a great experience! We will recommend to our friends and family.

Your first fitting will be in a day or so depending on your schedule.Then the finished suit a day or two later. While you are there, get a few custom shirts and you are going to walk out looking the business.All up cost depends of course on material, number or suits, etc. But you can be guaranteed you’ll walk out satisfied.
