Waste of time , waste of mony. Noyhing to do there200 bat to enter 800 bat to take a both.Ordinary shopsA lost of time and energy
Very nice and vibrant local market. Very interesting place to shop for local items. You can book tickets online or buy on the spot.
The water is really dirty in dark green color. The time by boat is not too long. Boatman will mention you TIPS before ending. Anyway, the ticket is cheap.
Alighted from the hop on hop off bus at this place. It seems like it is just a man made hole in the middle of the land to make it look like “river” and stalls and bridges to look like a “floating market”. Nothing much but I did try the mango sticky rice which was cheaper than in the malls. The entrance fee was 200 baht and so not worth. Won’t miss much if you miss it.
Not much of floating, I would say. It’s connected to road and a portion was in waterway with dirty water (sellers throw food debris into the water). The boat ride was miserable as the whole place could be covered on foot. Entrance fee THB200 (the basic) , THB800 (boat, snacks and entrance). Repeated stalls and quality of food is low, not tasty.
Ticket cost 800 Thai bath for mini boat. You can enjoy with your family .Floating market offers plenty of shoppings. You can easily spent few hours .The lake or river water unclean ..But you will enjoyI recommend it
this is my third time visiting the floating market . i think now not much to visit there. i selected floating market instead of sanctuary of truth and that was my mistake. now after the fire in 2023 it changed alot. if you are coming from Bangkok i dont think its worth that much like it used to .. still bit good for a first timer. next time big no
This is a Tourist trap. No Thai National would shop here. Coach after coach stops here. They charge £5 for entrance.Prices were inflated. A pashmina was twice the price charged in a Bangkok shopping mall for the same pashmina.A trip on a Longboat was £20 with a snack. For just a little more we had a private long tail boat booked through Bangkok boats, and spent two hours exploring the canals taking in authentic sights – so much better! We saw a group of people jigging around on a floating stage.Toilets were difficult to find. We asked five times. When we found them they were the worst toilets in our two week holiday. The floor was awash with what?. There was no toilet paper. Three staff were sitting at a table with a tip box. If you have paid £5 for entry the toilets should be clean.Around the corner is a proper Thai market which you can explore for nothing. The only good thing was the free parking.
Visited here several times over the past few years and it’s steadily declined every time. It’s dirty, run down and literally falling apart. You are basically paying to walk around countless stalls selling the same tat at inflated prices that you can get anywhere else in Thailand. Loads of empty stalls and units, the water looks like sewage had bottles and junk in it, I even saw a worker washing his rollers in it. Avoid this place as it’s a waste of time and money.
We spent an hour here as part of our tour. Don’t think it was worth our time. It’s not a floating market – part of it can be accessed via road and the rest appears to be on stilts. The surrounding water is a pale brown/yellow – devoid of any life probably due toPollution – The bosom trees are fake and faded. Stall after stall sold the same tourists tat. It all felt run down and not cultural at all. Don’t waste your time here. Disappointing that cruise ships have this as part of any tour!
Tourist scam not really a floating market like in Bangkok. It is a man made lake with markets trading all around free entry for my Thai girlfriend. Had to pay for me as a non resident boat ride 100 baht for girlfriend 800 for me my girlfriend complained and refused to allow me to pay
We thought it was a market so went there for meat and vegetables. But there was a B200 entrance fee. Seriously. We went to Makro instead. Which was free entry.
Awful man made tourist attraction that charges people to enter to look at the usual, clothing, souvenir and food stalls that can be seen anywhere in Pattaya. If you are expecting Bangkok floating markets think again. Definitely not worth a visit, complete waste of time and money
A disappointing visit. You need to pay to enter the market, 200B the if you wish to travel via boat you are charged 800B per person for a 5 min ride from one end to the other and don’t even stop to look at the shops or by anything.A complete rip off run by shady people.
Well, it is a pretend to be a floating market which lacks authenticity. If you see real floating market people will sell, exchange and cook things in their boats. Here need further development in infrastructure like toilets etc.
We visited the market while on a cruise. We joked in the car there if it was more a theme park for tourists and not a real market. The fact is it isn’t a floating market it’s a site built for tourists consisting of a raised area over water with lots of little shops selling best Thailand tat. You can opt just to walk around the shops on the above water walk ways or there is a little 5 minute boat ride that takes you from one end to the other. We clearly hadn’t researched it properly as we thought we would be on boats floating around looking at people selling to us from boats. Sadly it’s just a tourist trap. I asked our tour guide where the authentic floating market is and it’s 4 hours from the cruise ship terminal. He said you need to be staying in Bangkok to get to it: my advice would better excursions to see if you are on a cruise from this port.
We enjoyed the market. Entry ticket, already high for tourists, must include a boat ride. The things are expensive as compared to the normal markets but worth visit here.
Amazing experience ! This market is not the real one but it is truly nice with very sweet interactive people !!!!! The boat ride is also very fun and they even take very nice pictures of ours as well ! Truly amazing experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please visit this it is amazing ?
Nothing to see and do there except spending money on overpriced tourist stuff that you can buy everywhere else for much less!In addition you need to buy an entrance ticket.. I still don’t know what for..Don’t go!
A great place to get Hat, caps and souveniers. A lot of variety also available in clothes.Bargaining 20-30 % to offer price.
