  2. This tour was fantastic! Our guide, Aim, provided interesting insights into the food and history of North Thailand. The food was plentiful, varied and delicious. Riding in a Songthaew made the tour even more fun! Highly recommend this tour!

  3. Amazing tour, ate at places and dishes I would have never otherwise thought to try. Great history explanations and very diverse foods from across many regions. Very well thought out. Our tour guide was so friendly and would highly recommend this tour to anyone. It is a must do.

  4. Wow, Montree was over the top an excellent food tour guide. Not only does he know the in depth and rich history of the foods, but he himself is a cook and took our group to some of the hidden gems that tourists haven’t discovered yet. Montree took great care of our group and was so kind and generous with sharing his love of Thai food. We were blown away by how many types of different foods we tasted! I think there were 20 different dishes that we sampled and by the end of the tour, we were all stuffed. I would 100% recommend this tour for you if you’re looking for a taste of Northern Thailand foods.

  5. This food tour was incredible: 3.5 hours of amazing flavors, smells, sights, and history of this part of Thailand. Aim was our guide and she was incredibly friendly, hospitable and knowledgeable. We were stuffed by the end of this tour—very satisfying!

  6. This was a real treat. Food at 3 restaurants, a market and 2 street stalls. All both interesting and delicious. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Good bunch of fellows tasters. Just be really hungry at the start.

  7. Amazing experience! Aim was a fantastic tour guide, so knowledgeable about the various local foods, the food scene and even some history of Chiang Mai and Thailand. Super sweet lady who speaks excellent English. The various food stops were all delicious. Terrific value and I highly recommend.

  8. Join the Northern Flavours tour in Chiang Mai for an unforgettable culinary adventure! Over the course of four hours, you’ll explore six diverse locations, indulging in a delightful array of dishes that highlight both northern and southern Thai cuisine, as well as influences from Burmese and Chinese cooking. Savor flavors like clay pot barbecued pork and chicken, aromatic herby mushroom soup, hearty water buffalo soup, and exquisite Burmese pork stew. Other highlights include Chinese sausage stir fry with eggs and bitter greens, a vibrant vegetarian salad featuring chickpeas and fermented tea leaves, and an intriguing mushroom omelet. With options like grilled pork with rice and even fried grasshoppers, there’s something for every palate, and a selection of local fruits to enjoy. Enjoy enlightening conversations with your guide during songthaew rides between tastings, and remember to arrive hungry for this bountiful feast. Soft drinks are provided, and alcohol is available at an extra cost—perfect for solo travelers seeking both a delicious experience and new friendships in a cozy group setting.

  9. Another excellent tour (after really enjoying the Bangkok one). Riding a songthaew through Chiang Mai, with our charismatic and knowledgeable guide, Tree, sampling the local culinary delights. Particularly enjoyed the fermented pork myself.

  10. An amazing experience taking in so many culinary delights of Northern Thailand and learning so much about its fascinating culture, traditions and history. I would highly recommend.

  11. The best food tour I’ve had so far! Purely based on the time we had (4hours!) and the variety of dishes we tried. I felt spoilt, and stuffed. Our guide tree (yes, like a tree – his words) was really fun and engaging, and kept us all from hitting a food coma. I don’t want to give away the dishes, but some of the dressings and sauces were out of this world, it opened up a whole new side to Thai food for me and left me with multiple saves on my Google maps to find again. Having a local songthaew take us from stop to stop really enhanced the experience (after a 4hr walking tour for me in the afternoon the evening to be lazy and eat was perfect). A few from our group had taken the tours in Bangkok, and more of us left wanting to take another (for myself it’s Phuket). Don’t shop around for other tours, I think this is honestly the best out there.

  12. We had a wonderful noon food tour with Moui who was very knowledgeable about the regional cuisine and how it was influenced by adjacent countries. She was also very sweet and thoughtful, just a really nice person. We traveled from one stop to another by a songthaew which was great fun and tried at least 15 different dishes. We loved almost all of them! Our last stop was a local market where we were able to try unusual fruits and homemade snacks and sweets. One of the best food tours we have ever done!

  13. Really enjoyed the food tour. The Guide was friendly, yet professional and very knowledgeable about a wide range if subjects linked in with the food. I learnt so much and there was a good bunch of people who also made it a great event.

  14. I did the Northern Flavors tour and had a great time eating and learning about the food. It was about 3.5 hours long. My favorites were the crispy pork, the soup at the laab place, stir-fried greens at the market picnic, tea leaf salad, and pork at the Cowboy Hat Lady place.
