  1. I have been going to Panipa’s (Soi Ekkamai 19 shop) about 10 years. I have taken there many customers and recommended it to many people. I will not more do that. Gradually the service and quality of work has gone down. The older hair stylists are unkind and simply hostile, not professional. They carry depressed mental spirit. Honestly, I don’t say this lightly. This monday I went there last time. The hairdresser “Kun Wandee” was an absolute jerk! The owner “Kun Panipa” is also uncaring and not customer oriented. The only nice people there are the new, young ladies who do the worst work there. Ten years ago the place was filled with women from all over the world. Now only Thais go there! I strongly encourage you to find another hair salon!

  2. I struggled to find a good place in Bangkok that had experience with western blonde hair/highlights- and after a few disasters I was recommended to go here. I love the colour they do for me, and prefer it to what I used to get back in the UK! They do exactly as I ask and although they are often super busy they always manage to fit me in and do a good job.

  3. I am a regular customer of Panipa for the past 10 years or so, usually go to the Ekamai Soi 19 branch. It has been several times that I’ve called to booked for a specific staff to blowdry my hair, it turns out the lady who takes appointment has not seen the schedule properly (this has happened to me a number of times). The worse part of this place is the staff and their attitude. I always make a point to make an appointment before going to the salon to avoid getting delayed service – but so happens that I’ve had to wait upto 30 mins sometimes to get someone to blowdry my hair, so I just walk out of the salon without getting a blowdry. Most recently, I visited the salon on Tuesday 24th May around noon time and waited 20 minutes for someone to finally blowdry my hair – I requested her not to put the hair dryer directly on my hair because it makes my hair frizzy and dry, and her response to me was so rude (translated from thai) “oh i can’t blowdry your hair without placing the hair dryer directly on your hair, find someone else to do it” and she just walked away. To this point, I would never ever return to the salon until the owner does something about the attitude of the staff. It is absolutely absurd!!!!

  4. When I want to nurture myself with limited time that I have , I would always thinking of Panipa Salon. Several staff can provide services to you at the same time from hair, manicure, to pedicure. The staff are friendly and polite. Even though I don’t go there often enough, they do pay attention to remember my name. Quality of work is nice, there are some celebrities that also getting their beauty touch here as well. The salon on Ekkamai 19 is usually packed on Saturday, so making reservation is recommended!

  5. Provides awesome of both hair and massage. At the Westin Grand Hotel. Also nails. Treatments. Impressive and reasonable.

  6. Always enjoy getting my hairs & nails done at Panipa Ekkamai, if you are tight of time, this is definitely the place for you.

  7. FYI, this place is now called Panipa. It’s on the 8th floor of The Westin. Fantastic service. We had head massages, manicures and hair cuts. Ladies spoke great English, and Nam at the front desk was especially helpful.

  8. To clear up any confusion, on the 8th floor of the Westin Sukhumvit there is a hairdressers called papina and a spa called Vareena. I booked a skin bliss facial through Riwigo app and received 30% discount, would recommend downloading.Service is strange. Was telephoned ahead and told that I must pay cash. Alright, but certainly wouldn’t expect this from a 5* spa hotel. Upon arrival I was billed immediately. Given tea but not time to drink it. Asked if I wanted to use the toilet before my treatment. Nothing offensive, staff were polite but all a bit odd. Ordinarily you might expect to be shown to a changing room before a massage or facial but this is a bit more basic. Treatment room nice enough but quite tired. Robe offered was bleach splattered. Lots of small things to be improved upon. There were lovely tea lights all over – none of them lit! Beautiful music playing but whistles and car horns of the sukhumvit junction could be heard over it. Why no sound proofing?? No scent. Tatty carpets. Needs a remodel desperately. But the facial itself was wonderful. Lovely service and treatment, happy overall. But by this point it was a pleasant surprise. The spa itself lets down the therapists here. All in all, good treatment if not to glam. The problem is Bangkok has so many beautiful spas that give a wonderful overall experience, especially in this price bracket. A few tweaks will go a long way.
