We visited this place following a recommendation by our local tour guide.The place was indeed very good. We both had a Thai massage and left very happy.They give you clean clothes to change to prior to the massage, and even wash your feet.A Thai massage cost us 200 BHT per hour per person, so it is very cheap too, even though it felt laxurious.

Really double feeling here. I myself practise traditional Thai massage and have quite some experience receiving it. I wanted an hour classic massage, whereas my wife, suffering from back pains, just wanted shoulder and head. The girl in the Chokaew uniform immediately said in Thai that she was too tired and had wrist pains. So she asked for an older lady not in uniform but with Jeans and a blue striped T-shirt to take over my Thai massage while she herself would do my wifes neck and shoulder. The lady in Jeans was fabulous, dedicated and persistant in getting all my muscles loose. Sometimes hard, sometimes softer, asking me how it felt and feeling exactly where I was stressed. One of the best Thai massages I ever got. Thank you so much and awfully sorry I forgot to ask your name! Alas at the same time the uniformed one was torturing my wife, pressing so hard and persistently in the neck and shoulders that these would be tense and ache for days. Dreadful, not once asking how it felt. Not once interested. Just persuaded, I suppose, that the more pain you feel, the better you get cured, which unfortunately is not always the case. What a shame and pity after all the good reviews I read and the experience I personally had.
For the record, I went to the location across from the night market. It was a rainy Sunday evening, and every spa in town was literally begging for business. I entered the empty spa, and they all but did cartwheels to help me. I selected the 60 minute hot oil massage. After a foot wash, I was led to a very bright, barren room with a massage table. There was NOTHING spa like about the setting. Once settled, my masseur began the massage, which was ok. I felt the entire time like he was rushing through the massage. The last 5 minutes of the massage was spent stretching me in ways that were very uncomfortable as well as making efforts to crack my neck, which were not appreciated. Once the massage was finished, my masseur left the room so I could take my shower. It was at that point that I noticed the clock and that my massage had only lasted 45 minutes. So, net-net the actual massage was only 40 minutes with 5 minutes of awkward and uncomfortable stretching. This is the off-season/rainy season in Chiang Rai. This spa was totally empty of any other customers, and my masseur chose to short change me 25% of the time that I had paid for? I was very annoyed. So on top of a marginal massage, I was cheated out of 15 minutes of massage time.Upon checking out, I explained to the lady-boy working the front desk that my massage was cut short. He/she just nodded, said something in Thai to the masseur, who looked down at his feet, but I was offered no apology by either. Nice customer service.With massage available every few meters in this city (no exaggeration), I find it staggering that this spa would choose to treat its sole customer that evening in such a shoddy manner. Before choosing this spa, you may want to give consideration to any of the many other options in this city.You’ve Been Warned!!
Had my best massage in all of Thailand with Jayna at this place. It was so good that I traveled from Pai to CM and came back to CR to get another massage from this girl. I can not wait to see her again in a few months and have an amazing massage from her.

Had a one hour foot massage and left feeling under-whelmed. Staff seem disinterested, little care and effort went into the massage. Much better places to choose in Chiang Rai.
We stopped in here for an hour’s Thai massage after a 7km walk to and from the Blue Temple. We enjoyed the experience it was professional, relaxing and worth the 200baht each . Complimentary tea afterwards was a plus. Thumbs up.
In over 2 years we’ve spent in Thailand and have had massage experiences in very different places, the classic Thai full body massage that my husband and I just had here is the worst. Obviously the shop is oriented for farang tourists who come and go and know nothing about good massage. Both our therapists were lazy, non-professional, did not apply any pressure or skill whatsoever. They did the massage in a very nonchalant and careless manner but had a very nice talk with each other.Recommendation: you can have a much better experience for the same price of 200 baht at Maysa Massage just 50 meters away from here (where we were going to but Maysa was closed) or at Arisara (slightly more expensive but a lot of Thai people who can tell bad massage from good one go there all the time).
