IMAGINE yourself transported on to a film set for Jurassic Park complete with swirling mist and spray and some very weird landscaping. That is how it appeared to me when I visited Angels Land, also known as Dantayvada. All the waterfalls are manmade and so are pools of water which seethe and smoke, rock formations which look vaguely volcanic and some very spooky sections.I had to stamp on my imagination to stop it expecting a velociraptor to step into view in one place where mist drifted through strangely shaped trees. Very atmospheric in a slightly hair raising way. There is a cafe on site and visitors can wander happily in and out of caves, up steps to view points and, of course, sample, a number of waterfalls splashing droplets in all directions.Having travelled extensively in Thailand I have to say I prefer the natural type of waterfall, but this is not to say Angels Land is without merit. The gardens are lovely and the orchids are a genuine pleasure to look at.People can also relax on special seating, hop across stepping stones and generally experience this very watery attraction.I’ve not seen anything like it before and perhaps that explains a steady stream of people coming into to enjoy the experience.
An attraction less known to foreign tourists but heavily visited by Thais. A park with a waterfall theme. Magical presentation, fresh atmosphere thanks to a water mist system. Ideal place to take beautiful photos. Allow two to three hours for the visit. Entrance fee: 80 baths per person.
Magical wonderland filled with mystique mist and beautiful flowers and waterfalls. Even with the rain it was a fairylike place to explore.
