  1. I went to the gym with my husband and it cost 200 baht per person for a non air conditioned “gym”. Every single cardio machine was broken except for 2 treadmills and they were extremely small, narrow treadmills. While we were there, the cranky owner walked around rudely telling you how to use the machines, and staring at you to make sure you aren’t waring down any of the equipment or doing anything wrong. My experience there was terrible, and uncomfortable and not worth the money. They also charge 20 baht extra to use towels and say you can use their pool but the pool is tiny and right on the main road where everybody walking by can see you. There is another gym farther out of town (Ko Chang Gym) and if you have a motorbike it’s only around 15 minutes out of town passed Kae Bae, and they are HALF THE PRICE of BB gym. We started going there after our bad experience at BB gym. Much friendlier staff and cheaper!

  2. It was nice to actually find a gym in Lonely Beach. The place is quite cool, outdoor so hot, but they have lots of fans, so it is not a problem. Equipment old but functioning. Come early (they open around 8.30) later it gets crowded – the place is not that big.One month 1500 bath – 10 visits 1000 bath – that is fair.

  3. Gym is a bit over priced but sometimes you just want to go. oldfish stuff but weights are weights. Yoga was very good teacher helped explain a lot of things and I would highly recommend.

  4. This is the only yoga around. Really nice to escape the party scene and do something different. Definitely recommend!

  5. I attended yoga classes daily at BB Gym, conducted by Natalie, a super patient and competent teacher who makes all the efforts to smooth down our practice. Never overcrowded, the classes start after sunset at 18.30 and you can get special prices if you pick 3 or 5 classes packs. A great place to start doing yoga or having the chance to practice daily in a very nice atmosphere!

  6. We were really looking forward to going here but were unfortunately disappointed when we arrived. The equipment is very old and rusty, some of it even sticky from not being cleaned. The mats are old and tattered and dusty.. and the treadmills aren’t allowed to be used by people who weigh too much as they don’t work properly. Also the rowing machine doesn’t work properly when you pull ‘too hard’. Anyway it is nice to have access to a gym but for the prices you definitely don’t get your moneys worth! They need to upgrade their equipment and maintain it well so it’s clean, and then you would feel as though you are paying for what you get.

  7. Life on a hot island is slow. My vacation goal was to try not to gain too much weight while still enjoying the wonderful local cuisine.BB Gym was the closest place to Khlong Prao beach that offered yoga classes. The yoga class was awesome – 90 minutes long, but the instructor paced it in a way that made it bearable in the heat while still packing in a reasonable workout. It could have easily felt like a miserable bikram class but it was very pleasant! The downsides to the gym are – the main gym area could use some more fans / cooling mechanisms, and the yoga studio upstairs has floor paint that kind of sticks on your feet. Otherwise, this is what working out on an island feels like…Also, check out Magic Garden across the street after your workout for some tasty eats and a chill hang.

  8. I have tried evening yoga class this summer. July is a low season & it happened that I was only one at that day. Even so they arranged lesson 🙂 Trainer was a young guy(cannot remember his name ?), experienced at yoga & teaching yoga, speaking excellent English. Before I did yoga Aengara at my country, but at BB gym yoga was different, even so i enjoyed it & thanks to trainer even could stand on my head ?My hotel was at White sand beach & BB gym is at Lonely beach , that is 30-35 minutes drive by tuk tuk…I do recommend everyone who is at Chang try yoga at BB gym. If I’m at Chang again will try to come when it is high season & stay at Lonely beach , so I would have every evening yoga class on the beach ?I give score 4, just because they do not have changing rooms with lockers , so you need to use toilet/shower room & take your belongings with you.

  9. Been living in Koh Chang for 40 days and after trying different gyms throughout the Island I ended up going here regularly. Sanchai, the man who works there is a really nice guy and remembered my workout routine and made sure everything was in order before working out. The vibe is good and I looked forward to whenever my gym-day arrived. There is an open boxing area in the far back which has a really nice isolated vibe to it where you can do bag-work or pads with a friend. The bag is not too heavy so it is nice for all users. You can get a cheaper price somewhere else, but I think paying a decent amount gives an incentive to use that time properly, which gave me some really nice and intensive workouts. The open area really sets it apart from other gyms as well. There are big fans in the open area which Sanchai always makes sure are on at the right time. You get a towel for the workout in the reception (don’t have to bring your own) and you can buy a variety of fitness-related drinks etc. there. Sometimes my friend went for yoga while I did my boxing and weightlifting, and was very pleased with the quality. Loved the place. Will come back!

  10. This class was a stretching class, absolutely not a yoga class! The “teacher” doesn’t guide you at all and seemed to be bored to death just for being here. Too expensive (300 baths) for such a lame stretching class. If you actually hope for practicing yoga don’t go there you’ll be better doing it on you’re own even if you begin into your practice.
