My favourite experience after two months in Thailand. If you are in Koh Lanta please come here. Me and my boyfriend had the most amazing workshop with Adul. Creating our own masterpieces with so much creative teaching, guidance and help from Adul. You start my sketching a design with pencil on your canvas, going over it with the wax then using the dyes to make your design come alive, blending and mixing the colours with the brush and your fingers. I cannot stress how talented and kind Adul is, he is so patient with your designs and tailors his advice to you, so you get the most out of your session. Adul and his family are so kind, hosting in his workshop and provided us with water and snacks despite his family participating in Ramadan. Even if you don’t think you’re a creative person you will love this experience, something cultural and humbling about learning from someone so knowledgeable and participating in an activity that opens your eyes to an art form of a country. This was honestly such a core memory for me and even better you get to pick up your art the next day, to take home with you. No amount of money could put a price on this experience and the cost of the session is pennies for what you get out of it. You would never get this experience anywhere in the UK for even a fraction of the price. Please come here and support local trades and Aduls beautiful art.
My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this place, looking for local things to do and without a shadow of doubt, this was the most organic, heartwarming and beautiful experience we have done across our travels.Adul, has a heart of gold, an incredible artist, helps you as much or as little as you need, explained the history and the techniques to the art.His mother, bless her, cooked us some Thai desserts as a snack, even during Ramadan, and water was provided too!The art work we created was beautiful, thanks to all the help from Adul!!We would recommend this above and beyond to anybody on Koh Lanta!

Adul is patient and generous – a talented artist who can give you ideas, teach batik techniques, and help you along the way. He takes great care of his guests and makes sure everyone can participate and enjoy. Came as a group of 4 adults in our 30s for an afternoon. Adul was very helpful and knowledgeable explaining the process and how best to create successful designs.
