  1. This beach offers great walking and a huge variety of bars and restaurants. Rasta bars made of bamboo with hammocks and loungers with pillows. Very mellow and fun. The water is full of rocks, so if you want to swim, head north or south to other the beaches

  2. The stunning Khlong Khong beach is so picturesque with all the rocks, great for swimming the crystal clear water at high tide, and shows off a magical sunset every night. Its a lovely stroll in both directions of the beach to plenty of bars and restaurants (plus more out on the road).

  3. My favourite beach while staying on the island great restaurants and beach bars beautiful sunsets and the sea is lovely. We swam here many times. Can’t swim when the tide is out except at the very end of the beach. But who goes swimming in the sea when the tide is out?

  4. I loved this beach because there was so many options on restaurants and cool bars, very suitable especially for backpackers, adventurous travellers and solo travellers. Not too many families with children and that was very nice! Several fire shows along the beach and restaurants for all different occassions from true Thai to fine dining. Also a lot of great massage parlours. I will definately stay on this beach again during my next visit.

  5. Didn’t spend too much time here, but wished we did. Resorts/accommodation were right on the beach, but being a smaller width it felt like each hotel had its own private space. It was quiet when we were there, but again people we did meet were friendly and it felt very chilled and relaxing. We also didn’t eat here, or stay for sunset. Make a visit on your way down to the islands beaches in the south

  6. I stayed near khlong khlong for a couple of months at Hatzanda, it’s not very attractive at low tide and virtually impossible if you want a good swim. But it is nice and quiet for a walk up and down the beach, lots of bars, resorts restaurants and massage places. Very chilled. But it’s a good location and not too difficult to get to a He other beaches

  7. The beach is very rocky and covered at high tide. Not the best beach on the island but great deals can be had early in the season

  8. A long beach and not possible to swim everywhere and only low tide will show the various dangers. Lots of restaurants and bars on the beach and has a bit of a ‘full moon’ party vibe which will attract a younger crowds to this beach going.Best bars to chill out in are on the south tip of the beach, 3 restaurants/ bars next to each other, very rustic with deckchairs and umbrellas, great place to have a few beers and watch the sunset.

  9. When the tide is in, this beach is ok but when the water level starts to drop, forgete about swimming. There are rocks everywhere and the water line runs out at least 500 meters.

  10. Wonderful beach with loads of sea shells, plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and an excellent place to wath the sunset
