We stayed for 9 days at the Sofitel Sukhumvit in Bangkok. It was a first time in Bangkok on a family holiday, with a pre-planned itinerary of visiting many places far and wide in the bangkok area. We needed a chilled place to come back to during the day for relaxing and refreshing. The Club Rooms at Sofitel give access to the Club facilities on the 31st floor and the Club Millesime was perfect for us.It was made extra special by welcoming staff, in particular, Ing, Max and Ian. They gave exceptional and professional help to us every day – a big thanks to them.The Club gives you the following:1. Option for early check in at the club reception and longer check out if needed2. Option for a la carte breakfast + buffet3. Complimentary hot and cold drinks all day until 11pm.4. Afternoon tea and snacks 2-4pm. High quality appetisers.5. Complimentary cocktail and snacks 5-7pm (enough for an evening meal most days )6. Any personal care needed.Max and Ing helped many times, such as with booking Muay Thai stadium tickets and organising as 18th birthday cake.It is often quiet and only busy 5-7pm.We think this Club service alone is worth over £50 per room per day. We used it most days and it really helped our holiday experience.
I rarely write a review on a single department in a great Hotel, but this team, location and service more than deserves this! My colleagues and i are in Bangkok starting 2 companies in parallel from scratch. We are in Asia as this is where our first customers and partners are located. We don’t have an office yet, and so this Club at the top of Sofitel Sukhunvit has more than delivered on providing all possible facilities and service we could wish for whilst we build our businesses.The space is simply beautiful. Its calm and quiet, and even when busy there is always a place where you can have meetings and conversations in relative privacy and quiet. The food and drinks are absolutely top notch, and i mean better than many restaurants. We enjoy them so much, we often just skip dinner or lunch as we are so full from these delicious and super high-end snacks/bites. Its a fusion of Thai and French, sometimes even Italian, and its all simply delicious! They serve an excellent Gin Tonic (my favorite drink,) and if you are lucky enough that Scott or K’Khao makes them, then you will enjoy the after-effects a little longer than your average bar in Bangkok ;-)The meeting room which we use a lot, looks and feels like a full blown board room, has all the facilities you need, and serviced by the same excellent team that manages the club. A 5 star score from me, every time.Most importantly, and as always, its the people that make clubs and lounges like this work, It is them that make the difference between excellent and outstanding, or the difference between being satisfied and being blown away. Their kindness starts when the lift door opens and you are guided to your area of choice, and then its followed by non-stop care and attentiveness, but never too much. They somehow know when you are busy and need quiet, or when you would actually like a coffee or a glass of water.
