If you want a massage that will actually get to the root of your sore muscles and work on making you feel better than this is the place. It is not some Thai girl on the street just rubbing your back, Diamond Lanta gets down to the source of your muscle pain and works on the area that is causing you a problem. That is why the signs say “Theraputic Massage”. You will feel a little stiff and maybe sore for a day or two after but that is what you want, RESULTS.My wife and I both went twice for massages and felt that it certainly helped with our problem areas.We both wished we had gone a third time but unfortunately all vacations must come to an end.The other thing that makes Diamond Lanta stand out is the privacy that you have with either single beds or just two side by side. If you are a couple it works great. All the other massage places I saw on the beach had one large mattress with four people crammed in side by side.
I returned to Koh Lanta a second time in two years especially to experience the incredible therapeutic massage available at Diamond Lanta. I have been coming to Thailand annually for 14 years and have taken basic and advanced courses in Thai Massage and reflexology. The therapists here are the best I have found surpassing some of the blind massages I have received in Chuiang Mai. Highly recommended !
We visited the one close to Sala Dan pier and its just next to our apartment. It was recommended by the apartment owner and also other travelers’ in tripadvisor. We’ve taken 60 mins traditional Thai massage, and they really know how to massage and found out the painful places on my body, will go visit again tmr for a neck-head and leg-hip massage
After looking on tripadvisor for a massage i decided to go with diamond lanta massage. It was the best decision ive made so far! This was one of the best massasges ive ever had! I had the reflexology thai massage. It was amazing! I made an appointment to go back in 2 days for a specialty massage. Would highly recommend. It was 400 bht a little higher then others but well worth it.
The missus and I went to visit DLM for the first time, having walked past it on the street a few times. This was the type of massage I enjoy. Exhilarating and painful all at the same time. It’s the sort of pain that feels good! The massage we chose lasts for an hour and was very reasonably priced at 300 bhat. It was a very deep muscle tissue massage and was akin to a sports massage. The staff are lovely and the set up is very professional too. Totally recommended and I will be going back to have a second massage soon!
A painful experience. Although we told them that the massage was too hard and that it hurt they continued without taking any notice. The day after I felt like hit by a truck. If you want smoothe and relaxing massage. DON’T GO THERE.
This is not one of the massage shops you can find on every street in Thailand. It is much more! It is a team of experts in therapeutic massage, a place where you can start with an evaluation of the body made by an expert. We had the most intense and very healing massages. Thank you!
We have tried many several of the massage businesses in Ko Lanta, some good, some even better. Diamond was a sad experience, staff was not friendly and the massage itself was not good. My wife had a oilmassage and I had a footmassage, both were sloppy and was fullfilled with a bitter tea, not even varm.
This place would absolutely have 5 stars for the massage, and we did visit several times during our stay. Top notch massage from people who seem to know their stuff, not just a rub down like so many places. However, it gets 3 stars as they overcharged on our last night. We paid by card, and making an assumption on what they would charge (based on our previous visits), didn’t check the bill until later. They overcharged by approximately 1000 bhat and when I went back to challenge them, had to have a 10 minute discussion to argue my case and understand their charging. They agreed to a refund. I felt they were chancing it by sticking more money on the bill, suggesting we had been given a different massage, costing more. This was different to what we asked for. Definitely go for a massage but be very clear on what you’re having, agree the price beforehand, and don’t agree to changes or additions thrown in mid massage or after you’ve agreed the price. Until that point we had a lovely relationship with them but this last evening really soured all that.
The massages here are good, they do understand the body well, but I had a few massages with the younger woman in the team and she was adding extra charges without being clear. I asked for a oil massage and she then charged for a therapeutic massage at more than twice the price.. so my tip is go to this place but don’t take up offers of using different oils or anything like that as they will make up a new price! I think she was trying to make more money. Really the massages were all the same. I would give very good rating for the massage but the overcharging.. and lack of price clarity brings the rating down for me.
