  1. I just loved so much the opportunity of interacting with these beautiful animals, in a place where they are taken care of with love and humanity, I strongly recommend this elephant care camp. Activities done at the animals pace, don’t need to bother about the photos, their staff will take the most beautiful photos and you will get great memories. All the people working there were so nice and always concerned about our safety as long as the well being of the elephants. Just amazing!

  2. Unbelievable experience!! We will treasure our day and memories here FOREVER!!The staff are so genuine and you can tell how loved the elephants are… just beautiful!!!Mr Okay our tour guide is AMAZING we loved him ❤️ Thank you so much for having us!!!

  3. BEST DAY EVER! This was such a great experience we can’t wipe the smiles off our faces. No chains no riding which was really important for us and the photos they capture of you with the elephants are fabulous. The whole team was lovely and our guide Lenni was great. Would highly recommend if you’re staying in Phuket old town as it’s super close (25 mins away). Will never forget this experience!!!

  4. We found this place on a list of ethical elephant experiences in Phuket. After visiting, I can say with confidence that this place belongs on the list. It’s a very relaxed experience with feeding and petting the elephants by the base camp. Then we got to walk down a relatively steep hill in parts (so be prepared for a small hike) down to a little private beach where the elephants got in the surf and we got to go out to bathe and play with them in the surf. All the elephants who went seemed to be enjoying themselves and it was very focused on taking care of them, not focusing just on our fun. It was a very fun experience though and I would definitely go back.

  5. Visited with children (5yo and 3yo) and grandparents. All had an amazing unforgettable experience; walking with elephants, swimming in the sea, washing and feeding elephants. Staff were very kind and helpful and obviously cared about the elephants and looked after them well. We were there over 2 hours and were provided with tea, coffee, water and snacks free of charge. Would recommend to all for a great visit.

  6. I was expecting to see elephants in their natural habitat, free and roaming around, instead they were kept in tight pens. The adults in one area and a baby separated from the other elephants in a small pen by herself. I questioned why the baby was on her own and they said that her mum gets cross with her as she always wants milk. Isn’t this place supposed to replicate as close to the wild as possible?!! The man who looked after the baby however did really seem to love her and care, that is the only positive I have to say about this place. Although these elephants have been saved from other forms of exploitation, and their life is probably better it’s hardly the sanctuary it’s made out to be. The day started with a talk with some knowledge about the elephants and dos and don’t. No loud noises, no pulling tails etc, we then went to feed the elephant’s. The very excited carer was shouting very loudly “kiss kiss” so the elephant could put her trunk to your cheek, weren’t we just told literally 5 minutes ago they liked peace and quiet. We then went down quite a steep hill to go in the sea with the elephants, the same excited carer was pulling the elephants tail, tugging her skin and ears and pulling those too, in an effort to get her to do what her wanted. They really are the most gentle and placid animals, really is this necessary?!!! Again more photos, more shouting, it became less about the elephants and more about a photoshoot. We then walked back up the hill to the other 2 elephants left behind. My family were the first to get to the top and I witnessed the “carer”kick a chain and shackles under a mound of grass right next to where the 2 other adult elephants had been left. I couldn’t believe my eyes. After showering the elephants, I went back to see the other 2 elephants and sure enough one of them had the chain and shackles attached to its foot. I was quickly asked to come back to the rest of the group. Obviously this is the side of the so called sanctuary they don’t want tourists to see. I felt absolutely disgusted, saddened and sick to the stomach seeing this, this place is already a petting zoo at best why on earth is chaining up these beautiful, gentle creatures necessary.

  7. This was the highlight of my holiday seeing these beautiful elephants being cared for in a great environment by dedicated mahouts.I was a little concerned about the climb down to the beach, but being the same age (fit 74) as the oldest Eli, they were so kind taking me in their Ute!The elephants were very happy to be hand fed bucket loads of bananas before an amble to the beach for a scrub downReturning to enjoy an elephant sized shower to scrub off the salt.I can’t praise all the staff highly enough for their care of us too, small group of 12, ensuring everyone had many photos to treasure.Thank you for caring for these magnificent creatures after the dreadful previous life.
