My “Amazing Thailand” trip through SmarTours was wonderful, I learned about the Thai culture, attending the “Lady Boy” show, met some new friends, and ate great food.The tour guides were very knowledgeable and a ton of fun. They taught us about the history of Thailand as we traveled from Bangkok to Chiang Mai, eating fresh/wonderful Thai food along the way.I am truly thankful for the great memories SmarTours helped me to create.
The entire trip was wonderful and gave you a good mix of the country, its people and customs. This was my third trip to Thailand and I was most interested in the Northern region of Thailand. Our tour guide Nok went far above what was required of her in regards to adding extra things to see and do. She took extra time to explain things to members in our tour group. She also treated the entire group every day to a new Thai food experience.Being a Buddhist myself we had many discussions on our own.I would highly recommend this trip and if you get Nok as your tour guide it will be a trip you never forget.
WOW. I don’t even know where to begin. This trip exceeded all of my expectations. From a warm welcome at the airport, north through Thailand, and back again, I have never felt so cared for during a trip. Our guide Ketsara was so kind and knowledgeable that she created an environment where our bus came to feel like family. She told us where we could buy the best foods, authentic souvenirs, high-quality spices and teas, and more. We saw temples, ancient ruins, an elephant sanctuary, and incredible markets in the most unexpected places. We took cooking classes and we made paper. The bus made it so simple to get around and see anything we wanted to see. The hotels were lovely. Everything was perfect down to the last detail. I can’t wait to take another SmartTour — TRULY!!
Our trip to Thailand with Smartours in 2019 was so great that we planned to go again in 2020! That was not possible so I hope that we can go back in 2022!
I loved loved loved Thailand. The Smartours bus journey was wonderful. Our tourguide Chaiyan was AAA++++ He would stop along the way and bring us exotic fruits and street food. The golden gorgeous temples, the lush tropical scenery, the elephants, the floating market, the night markets, the dancing.. all fabulous. Most of all the Thai people are gentle and generous. Do it! I went Nov 2019.
Meeting the Children of Thailand was one of the most wonderful experiences of my trip……, fron there it gets enjoyably crazy fun! One of the best trips that I have ever taken, I definitely will return
This is tale of two phases.1. The experience prior to the trip was the most horrendous experience I have had for travel. It was very difficult to get meaningful answers. There was a disconnect between the New York office and the Thailand personnel. The persons on my trip had the same experience. Additionally, there was a group who could not travel to Thailand and where in Los Angeles.I also did not understand why we paid $100 for covid testing and on the return $8.50. I think we should be refunded.They really need to learn how the prepare people for the trip.TERRIBLE2. The experience itself was great because of Ketsara Chocksmai. She is the Jewel of Thailand. She managed a diversified group, very intelligent, knowledgeable, articulate and relatable.It was a little too long, perhaps 10-12 days.GREATCharlie RIncidentally, below they asked who went. None of the groups matched. We had family and no small children
Ketsara and Nok, our guides in Thailand and Sokhoeun, our guide in Cambodia. They went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of. The sights were incredible, but I will remember them most of all.
Fantastic experience all the way. The guides were friendly, funny and very knowledgeable and gave the tour their personal touch. Bus drivers were top notch. I feel like I got a very good inside look at everything Thailand has to offer. One of the most memorable trips I’ve taken!
The tour guides on the trip made it great. Smartours needs to reconsider the accommodations. The 1st hotel had black mold growing in the bathroom. Thailand and the Thai people are amazing. Phuket is just like any beach side town. I could have skip Phuket. I’m vegan and the tour guides made sure I had different options to chose from at every meal. Without the tour guides, Kate and Nok, I don’t think I would have enjoyed the trip.
