  1. Located next to the Night Bazaar in Chiang Rai City Centre, this is an easy and convenient Bus Terminal providing transport to various places in Thailand.Serving both local areas such as Wat Rong Khun the White Temple (Blue Bus) and further destinations such Chiang Mai (Green Bus) and the Thai/Laos border town of Chiang Kong (Red Bus) which is where most people catch the slow boat down the Mekong River. Recommend you do your research to make sure there is a bus which caters for your needs. The terminal has just been revamped (apparently) and has a small coffee shop/supermarket which is alright if you’re waiting a few hours for your bus. Other than that there’s a Tesco Lotus a short distance down the road which is much better than the nearby 7-Eleven.Toilets are 3 baht a pop and having a turnout is fine as the seats are clean.

  2. Well located bus terminal in Chiang Rai. Bus drops you off not far from Chiang Rai centre and lots of TukTuk drivers and taxi’s lined up to take you to your hotel so no waiting around for transport.

  3. At a very convenient location. Next to night bazaar. Toilets are clean – 3 bahts. Green bus company at one side of the bus terminal. 2 convenience store plus many other surrounding the area eg 7-11.

  4. Very modern bus station in the centre of the town. Good bus service to Burma and towns in Thailand eg Chiang Mai.We used the Green Bus to Chiang Mai and it was good and ran to time.We will use again.

  5. Large, clean and airy, we had not problem navigating this bus terminal on our travels in and out of Chiang Rai. Routes are fairly well marked, in the form of departure times posted on gates in the bus parking. If you are not sure of a route, there are often drivers/attendants shouting out the name of the routes’ destination, particularly the popular/tourist ones. People walk around selling snack, but there is also a convenience store inside, as well as washrooms, tourist information and a ticket counter for the longer routes. For quick hops, expect to pay exact change directly to the driver/ attendant once on the road. Remember, if traveling return, to ask the driver where the bus stop is for pick-up, as it is often not in the same location as the drop-off.

  6. There is a baggage storage at the same place as the restroom, 20 THB for a bag. It’s located at the end of the waiting area close to a green bus counter.I wanted to add this information as we didn’t know if we will be able to leave the bags somewhere for a day trip around Chiang Rai.There are plenty of outlets around the waiting area to charge your phone.

  7. It’s conveniently located next to Chiang Rai night bazaar. There is vegetarian restaurant around the corner. It has a vibe feel.
